how do you do polls???

Sorry if this a bit of a stupid question but are there any kind souls out there who can tell me how to do one? err...a poll that is :D

when you click to post a new thread there is an option below this text box that says something like: include a poll with this thread? if you tick the box then when you hit submit reply you'll get the poll option page.
