Default <(o)> THE WIDE AWAKE CLUB <(o)>

After 4 nights of limited sleep and heavy bags under the eyes, I was compelled to begin this thread for the benefit of all of the insomniacs and occasional problem sleepers amongst us!

If you're awake in the wee small hours, with either:

- delirious and nonsensical thoughts running through your head
- pressing debates bugging you senseless
- next day apprehension weighing heavily on your mind
- current day post mortems replaying in your cranium
- a need for someone to tell you to stop larking about on the net and go to bed
- a need to find out if there's anyone else in the country as tortured and sleep deprived as you are

Then THIS is the thread for you!

Post whatever is flowing through your brain at stupid o'clock (any time between 12am and 8am) - Yup, I know I've started the thread before midnight, but by the time I am lying in bed with my phone with no hope of sleep, I can't get back up to post the inevitable theme song to the Wide Awake Club, or all hope of sleep will be lost, so I must do it now

So come join us here, send us all a Wacawave and tell fellow sleep deprived souls what ails you

I keep being kept away by role-playing on what it would be like to tell some of my work colleagues what I really think of their behaviour,.. whilst doing all sorts of harm to them using all sorts of cunning weapons and physical karate-type prowess..
oh, dear,. it's all too silly and pathetic of me,. but my body's anger-soaked adrenaline has ran away with itself.

^ I can't claim to have gotten up, but I did alternate between the mash-potato, jazz hands, and big box, small box, big box, small box, ice cream cone, ice cream cone from the comfort of bed for the duration of that number.

Urgh sorry I'm late Slept in! Every other day this week, my eyes have opened at 1am before my mind starts racing.

Good morning, all of yous

I'm worried about the uncertainty of what awaits me at work tomorrow.
As for Timmy's short shorts, I've never quite noticed how inappropriate his attire is for the intended viewing audience until Appear pointed it out up there ^ . That subject alone is enough to horrify me and keep me awake until the alarm goes off at 6am :-/

Edit: Wow that video O_O nearly clicked it which would've caused havoc to sleeping bed hoggers in the land of nod (mainly the furry children

That'd be nice! This week I'm plagued with ideas of how I'd be able to prove I'm not shit and incompetent in a court of law :-/ My contributions on this thread might be vital in some way - probably for the prosecution if I ever end up in Court. I blame the Pistorius trial being everywhere, in addition to my own fears of being exposed as shit and incompetent :-/

Wow I'm bowled over by that level of commitment - or I would be bowled over if I wasn't already lying down

It most certainly is! Why do the days go so flaming quick, when the insomnious nights go on forever

Probably because our minds are engaged during the day and we're doing stuff so it goes quicker.
Sometimes I just want to knock myself out in order to get some rest

I do apologise for having fallen asleep for my statutory 4 hours folks

I hate it when I wake up and it's light, it makes me feel like a right normal.

Hey Momma Cats!

Let's have a sing song. Here's an old favourite of mine.

I wish I could fly, right up to the sky, but I can't. You can! I can't!!
Look Orville. Yes? Who is your very best friend? You are! I'm gonna help you mend, your broken heart.

Ach, Poppy cat sabotaged my involvement in this thread by lying on top of my phone and looking all cute. Then I fell asleep again. I'm rubbish at this. However, I shall save my singing voice for the wee small hours of Sunday

This has been screwing up my life for, well, since I can remember. It's not actually such an issue, professionally - my job starts so late that I've usually had at least 3 hours - but on days off all I do is sleep, amd my pattern is such I have no time for anything but work.

Ooooh, it'll be my birthday soon :0
Hope the docs works out for you. My doc refuses to give out sleeping tablets and I haven't asked again since I was turned down twice. I'm totally stuck as all of my energy is taken up with work and I don't get enough sleep to feel able to do anything but get through the day at the mo.

There shall be cakes in this thread when your birthday arrives

Well, here I am again. Good morning all you wide awake people

*wackawaves at you all*

I didn't sleep well last night, or the night before either, but I used that time to play a game on my phone and feel frustrated with myself.

Hope sleep comes soon for me, and anyone else who's lying, waiting and hoping it'll come soon

Was about to slip off to sleep but got hit with some sleep paralysis. Hasn't happened in a while but it wasn't a pleasant one this time to say the least. Doubt I'll be getting to sleep anytime soon...

Eeep, can't sleep and I'm supposed to meet my support worker at 10:30am. Wondering if I should call to cancel if I'm still awake when their office opens.

I could have a coffee frenzy and try to make it, but I'll almost certainly end up feeling like crap.

Urgh, that whole next day frustration is rubbish I hope you catch a few z's soon so that you don't need to go down the copious amounts of coffee route

Hey, you made it!

I've been awake since about 3am, when catface started tapping my face, wanting me to wake up and stroke her. She's now snoring soundly next to the pillow and I can't get back to the land of nod

I find that if it happens during the day I can accept what is happening and make it past that initial, what the hell is going on, stage. But whenever it happens at night time, which is much less frequent, it just freaks me out.
