Talking SAUK Not Secure?

Any reason why SaUK doesn't have an SSL certificate?

Does it even need one?

Thanks!

It's encryption.

Just make sure you don't use the same password here as you do for anything important such as PayPal.

This is one reason I use a privacy VPN given that it is theoretically possible for someone to basically wiretap your internet connection to non-SSL sites. I am 100% sure that the US government has been using the internet as a spying tool; this has been confirmed by the snowden leaks.

It does appear to have one now, the site is just not configured to force browsers away from port 80, so maybe update your bookmarks.

Yes, I use a VPN.

I've just switched from Chrome to Brave as well.

I have always seen this privacy concern stuff to be alarmist.

Generally it's used to show you more relevant advertising, so that's a plus in my book and If the government or anybody else were using it to spy in me, they would be very bored.

The only real use for using a VPN is to try to cover up dodgy behaviour, like downloading kiddy porn maybe or for gaining access to games you've been banned from for cheating. I can't see any good reason, especially when I'd have to spend my money on it.

What have you guys got to hide?
