Just finished Men At Arms which was one of the best and funniest Discworld books I've read so far.

Tempted to give it a read, I like to be 'culturally' informed.
Is it a short read?

No its not a short read but it sucks you in. It very light with plenty of air. When i was given the book i
sighed but now ive started it ill get to the end no problem...even with ADD.

Everyone is reading it so its a great conversation topic you can pull out at anytime. Thats the only reason im reading it ........honest.

Same reason I watched Twilight, wasn't expecting those films to be so long though, and dull. Will give it a read some point. Usually find with ADD, if something is interesting, I completely focus and lose track of everything else. 50 Shades must be pretty good...

Your right, if i find something interesting then my concentration is good. 50 shades is an enjoyable read so far.

I can confirm that 50 shades is ADD friendly.

Can't find a small image.

I'm reading L.J Smith's The Secret Circle: Captive part 2 and The Power.
(Technically I'm on The Power)

It's practically nothing like the TV show.

Gf bought me this which is an alright read. Its about a virus wiping out all the grass in world. (So food.)

Im about a third way through. Due to certain observations from the real world - I would say the secondary plot of using bombs seems unbelievable/illogical action (But its a book so doesnt matter) but otherwise its main plot is pretty good. To its credit I would say it has some good terminology - However perhaps its better suited for the author rather than the characters themselves. (Or possibly trying to appeal to its readers?) Seems a bit out of place how the characters sometimes said things.. It was rare but some bits and pieces burned into my eyes due to how they stood out/not in-character, but maybe most readers wouldnt of noticed. I can sometimes be a bit over-observant with things like that.

All in all I would score it a 7 out of 10 based on what I have read so far. Not finished yet of course.

Just started the audiobook of The Brothers Karamazov - Fyodor Dostoyevsky . 2nd attempt, first audio version I had, the reader was terrible and hammed it up way too much and I gave up. Got this one free from librivox.org read by members of the public (All Public Domain books) - so far so good.

Had to stop reading Stephen King Goes to the Movies as the third story in it seems to contain spoilers for Lord of the Flies. Since I haven't read it, and can't remember much of the movie, I decided to put it to one side and read Pop Goes the Weasel by James Patterson instead.

Finally beginning volume 2. Long time over due. Owned it for ages but lacked time to read due to other books. =p

If he is anything like the first volume then I will likely relate to him on some levels but dividing off on other opinions. Incredibly smart individual although I would say some fundamentals I would disagree with due to my personal diggings/impressions, while showing incredible understanding on other things that I would agree with.. but regardless a interesting read. Though he does have a 'dam' fetish of a sort that at times can make for awkward reading. =D Whatever floats his boat and works for him. I rather focus on people and/or simply myself, rather than sticks of tnt, but our agendas are very different. Always someone I relate with on many levels regardless of the fundamental differences. His first book helped me unexpectedly turn a corner to other sources that helped me learn new/greater understanding of several concepts. Im fascinated that this volume 2 will do the same, although im little dubious as its been probably a year since the first book and could say I have assimilated everything he has to offer by this point, grown beyond his work, with need for new fresher points of views if nothing else. Just in it for a fascinating read by an intelligent individual, with a great hairstyle, about stuff I personally care about - A good read.

Book still smells pretty nice too.
