@ mutedsoul - I'm sorry you had to suffer at the hands of bullies. I'm sure a lot of people will be able to empathise with you

Although I don't think bullying on its own necessarily causes SA it can certainly make things a whole lot worse. Even today, I don't think a lot of Schools take bullying seriously enough. They immediately react and take action on the rare occasion that a child smuggles a knife in but low level bullying seems to still be falling under the radar and is not seen as that big a deal. Schools tend to shrug off rough behaviour as 'Oh, that's just kids being kids'. Well, actually it's not okay for kids to call other kids names or hit them because it's funny. Schools need to come down harder on this type of behaviour. In the workplace you would most likely get fired for that.

Debating whether or not to go to Pride.
My town is having it's first ever pride today, I literally have to walk 500 yards and I'll be there but it will mean going alone and not knowing anyone there.
I don't want to be standing around like a spare part while everyone else is having fun with friends.
Also if I do go my bf will probably throw his toys out of his pram.

I wish life was simpler.

Don't worry about going alone. You don't need to know anyone going to watch the parade and have a walk around to look at stalls or watch performances. Lots of people there will be on their own too.
