was just thinking Eric Bana could have been a good Max, i wonder if he was approached but was maybe working on something else at the time?
The film would've been a lot less aesthetically delightful with Bana as Max x3

I was reading something Miller said about how he wanted Tom bc he needed someone who can be impressive and charismatic even when silent, he said Mel Gibson had the same energy.
I'll probably rewatch Fury Road tonight lol

How most people just get on and do things in their lives like changing jobs going out with friends and having a good time, gaining experience and memories along the way while I've just been inert doing very little and experiencing virtually nothing, I have no fond memories and very little experiences to draw on, and I can't see a way to change things now I'm just too old and inexperienced to make any connections with anybody now (if I ever met anybody that is).

A lot of walkers, trail runners/riders, climbers I come across seem middle class or well off.

Ok having a five minute chat with random ones when out and about but I'd feel out of place in a walking group with them.

I'm just a Black Country bum huffing and puffing out on the hill.

Yea, I'm completely fine. Miraculously. Thanks for asking

On a side note. Where would be the best place on the forum to post perhaps the full in-depth story with the full compendium of pictures?

You could do it as a blog on here , then post a link to it.

^ Perfect! Thank you sir. I feel like it doesn't too heavily fall under the bracket of social anxiety other than the way I handled it. It's more of just a story. So a blog post would be perfect.

Where would I post the link for it be most seen? Not being attention seeky, but more of a PSA - Don't be an idiot kind of thing.

I would probably add it in the 'Post your random crap here' thread and add it to your signature.

^ If my sister was unemployed and I had some money saved I would help her out and wouldn't expect the money back and would hope if it was the other way round she would do the same.

Outdoor gear can be ridiculously expensive.

I'd love a PHD minim 400 sleeping bag but it's nearly £500.

^ PHD is a particularly expensive brand! Rab make good down bags at a cheaper price if that's what you're looking for.

^ Think mine was about £250 and should last a good few years, Rab apparently are really good at doing repairs as well.

Do also own a £25 cheap bag from Millets which is good for summer use.

Depends what you're planning to use it for! Can get cheaper bags if you don't mind them being heavier and synthetic is normally cheaper than down. I went for a more expensive one to get one light enough to take on multi day trips.

I've got a 1.7kg 2 season synthetic bag that cost £25.

I just need to lose some bloody weight tbh, then get a better 3 season synthetic.

The price of some equipment is ridiculous.

How much profit are PHD making on the minim 400?

If I could afford it though I'd get one and maybe a custom made down suit from them as well and some booties.

Hate packing. The thought of going on holiday is exciting, if somewhat concerned about how the wrist will be boarding but the thought of packing is still horrendous.
