Need some help from the maths experts here
I’ve just found I’ve had £403.34 deducted for rent and service charge this month. I was told my total weekly charge for them was £86.69 . I can’t get the figures to fit/make sense.

Re: Need some help from the maths experts here
Let's see.....£403.34 ÷ 4 = £100.84, so no that doesn't seem to add up.
But how many weeks were there in April? 5? That would equal £433.45. It sounds as if there's been a mistake or something has been put up in price but you haven't been told. (Although, I'm not good at maths so maybe someone else can help more with an answer!) |

^ Thanks for replying. The £86.69 was from April 15th . Hence the current rent and service charge.

What's the service charge?
Perhaps the rent alone is £86.69 and service charge makes up the rest? Companies often charge quite a bit for basic admin jobs, |

Re: Need some help from the maths experts here
Has the billing date changed? Although it doesn't factor to a whole number of days.
Or maybe your previous rent payment taken was for the whole of April and they have added a bit this time to cover the underpayment due to the increase half way through April. To work that out you would have to know what your old charge was. Work out the difference as a daily rate and then subtract 15(16?) times that from the latest payment. |

^ That could be it . That they added a bit for a shortfall in April. I've emailed them to find out.
