Stupid periods, I am currently in bed and I feel like I could just cry and I will be in floods of tears. It's unusual for me to feel like this, I am trying to control it, I just feel like a freek .

I must not cry, please don't quote.

I hate periods. I feel very low, tearful and have suicidal thoughts. My stomach is bloated and my boobs are extremely tender.

I enjoyed the s'morning walking dogs etc but felt sooo depressed after I left and really really tired. Stopped at sainsburys on the way home and was just getting more and more irritated by everyone. The drive home just felt really really low. I thought it might have been lack of food but nope...

just been to the loo and yep....it's here almost a week early which I guess is why I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I'm kinda glad cause I thought Christ depressions really got a grip on me if I feel like this when somethings actually gone well!

I was given the gift of bleeding on the first day of the new year. What an undeniably, wonderful gift. It seemed my New Years resolution to be a rational woman flew out the window, the minute I saw red. My ex was called a coward, a dog, a weasel, THE devil, all in one series of back to back messages. Yes, as a bleedin' Catholic woman, I think I outdid myself with that comparison. I'm a true woman of God, just so, painfully, forgiving. Slightly offended my actual bae- my actual dog- that I used his devoted species as an insult. What was I thinking? They're nothing alike. Bae has manner's and is more loyal than THE devil could ever be. Still, King Henry The Eighth would be proud, the Queen still bleeds. Until he beheads me for treason for favouring my actual beloved bae. I look forward to my next bleedin' session and my confession box time- but to the actual sinners face. Then within 24 hours I'm back to choir girl, stuffing myself with a snickers because I'm just not myself when I'm hungry.

Thought she was here yesterday. I checked with a bit of tissue, it looked like something was happening.
Put a pad on. This morning still nothing. Not even felt any cramps yet.
She does take her time to get here
Also can't find my period pants , extra big elasticated ones . Think they're still in washing machine.

I'm wondering if my period will arrive some time today, or leave me hanging for weeks like the other month.

Did the nurse say if weird bleeding and cramps would last very long.

I don't remember getting cramps when I first started taking it but it did take the better part of a whole year for my body to sort itself out. I had irregular bleeding and then spotting for a long time. Once your body gets used to it though it's great, no periods, no cramps, nothing

^^ I hope I can stick it out for that long! I'm getting really spotty and moody too. I absolutely hate the pill, but I hate condoms more.

Nah, I think they're wary of telling women about the potential side effects because it affects people in different ways. It could last till next month, it could take a year, you never know with hormones.

It may not take a year for you. I was going through a pretty horrendous time shortly after I started taking it so I don't think that helped me either.

This morning I had cramps again. Luckily I slept fine. But soon as I woke up for work I had horrible pains. Luckily didn't last long. I did take some paracetamol which doesn't normally work , maybe it did this time. Finally got me some Ibuprofen

Mine has arrived this eve with little warning other than tiredness.
Haven't got cramps yet but can sense there not far away, have got a bit of hormone headache tho Still at least I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow. It's timed itself well this month for a bloody change.

I had to stop taking the pill as it was making me depressed to the point of suicidal. It's been a few days and I feel slightly better. Does anyone have any experience with the IUD?

I've got one of these, to protect my mattress but you could use it on top so if you bled it doesn't go on the bedding, it doesn't cover the whole of the mattress but it would be big enough to put in place so you don't bleed everywhere, you can then wash it when you get home.

I have an IUD and it's much better than the pill for me (which affected my mood a lot as well). Getting it fitted was horrible but had no problems with it since.
