I must be the only one I know who doesn't have a problem with the dentist. It's quite surprising really, but I'm entirely happy to go there. With what little they've already done I feel so much better about my teeth, maybe even enough to feel less nervous about smiling.

Maybe I'll feel differently once the drilling starts.

I'm OK with it but not from the SA aspect. The close attention on me and the feeling of being trapped makes me pretty uncomfortable.

Maybe if you'd had one of them push and pull your tooth for about five minutes in order to dislodge it from your only partially anaesthetised mouth (because he insisted it should be numb) you'd think differently. If you've got a good one ditch with them forever, if they try and retire threaten them into staying somehow.

^ Me neither, though I must say I got quite a shock when I looked at it a few weeks ago and it said 4,000 posts, as I thought it was something like 2,000

I really have posted too much this year.

I'm okay with it for some reason. Strange that having someone stick their hands in my mouth while their face is no less than a foot away from mine doesn't make me particularly nervous.

As of today I've experienced that twice. I didn't find it too unpleasant to be honest. They had a lot of trouble getting the tooth out today though, I can really tell because my gum is practically shredded from it. My dentist is really nice though.
