A-okay. I've been waking up feeling pretty low recently, but after a walk around Cardiff in today's sublime weather this morning I couldn't not feel better. The only thing that could have made it better was a hand to hold. (What a sop, huh?)

Glad to be home, flipping weather
Went to Chi xmas market with outdoor group this morning, we all got absolutely drenched through. Half the market was closed and the xmas donkeys were a no show.
Had a nice afternoon doing a bit of baking for mind xmas party though. I will miss Mind as a service user. Whilst sometimes it can be a bit exhausting having to listen to other ppls problems esp from the service users who have more challenging problems than just anxiety and depression. I am fond of everyone.

^ I work from home and I don't like having the heating on all day long in winter because I'm always paranoid the boiler is going to break, but I keep an oil heater in my office set to low and it does a pretty good job of taking the edge off, as well as being pretty cheap to run. Might be something worth considering as an alternative if you're fine being mostly in the one room.

Just hearing you talking about the passing of a 13 year old makes me feel desperately sad so I can only imagine how upsetting it is for you who knew her
There can be nothing more devastating than losing a child especially one still so young. Tragedies like this kind of put other things into perspective.

Yes, though not for that particular service, will be starting at the new mind service in my village and surrounding area. Still waiting on a start date though. It's only for 7 hours but I guess it's a start and a foot in the door.

@Avalon - decision making is confusing. You're uber considerate, so you no doubt have done a lot of thinking about what to do and all the possible ramifications. Do you ever talk to someone impartial about your decisions? Sometimes that helps. Talking to people makes me more confused because different people have totally different ideas and I get all confused again haha. But most people find it helpful! Unfortunately some decisions are going to annoy people, but usually people calm down about it

Like you, I talk to various people before making a decision but as they all have very different views it leaves me feeling even more confused. I usually end up doing what I think will upset the least amount of people but it still means that someone will be upset by my decision so I always end up feeling like a thoroughly nasty person. Why does life have to be so flipping complicated!

Feeling ill. I'm sure it's hormone related because I'm suffering with lots of awful physical symptoms but it's bringing me down mentally too. Also worrying about my husband who has fallen into a deep depression

I went Christmas shopping with my son yesterday evening. These days I have to practically force myself out of the house but figured a lot of shoppers would have gone home by 7pm. Wrong. Everywhere was crowded. I'd made the mistake of wearing a woolly jumper under my coat so was sweating buckets which made me feel even more uncomfortable and anxious. I had a Christmas gift voucher from last year that someone had given me so I wanted to spend that before it expired. I finally decided on a top and queued up to pay. As the voucher didn't quite cover it I dug into my handbag to retrieve my purse only to find that it had gone along with all my money and bank cards. I went into immediate panic mode. Thank goodness I had my level headed son with me telling me to stay calm. We ran to lost properties (the unfamiliar exertion nearly brought on a heart attack) just as it was closing to find that someone had handed the purse in. It's so nice to know that there are still some good honest people in this world.

However, I've decided that I don't like anything at all about Christmas.
Roll on the New Year...
