I've managed to become discontent, depressed and tearful this afternoon. Can't focus on anything. Probably stems from a phone call the s'morning but *sigh* .
I wish I could stop being me. Not helped by being reminded it's my b.day soon. God knows what i'll do on the day, stay in bed and eat my body weight in saturated fat probably.

^ Y'alright, Mo?

Can't you volunteer to work your b'day? May not be my best idea, but might be good to be around people for a while rather than be alone.

If you're gonna saturate yourself in fat then maybe get an Indian takeaway for the evening?

^ Thanks Yeah I'm just in a weird mopey mood I think. Thinking too much, which is never a good thing Also being back home (as opposed to at my dads) means I don't go out so much either generally so I'm getting all meh.

It's a good idea but my birthday is a Saturday, so there's no real opportunity to volunteer, the sanctuary is usually full at weekends (from what I've been told) with help. Yeah I could get an Indian I suppose, I'm already thinking of cream cakes
I'm supposed to be visiting a friend in Bognor on the Sunday, tho I feel quite anxious about it (her kids, her partner, the drive etc). I've put it off so many times already tho...

The neighbours mostly (not just the new one, lol), where I am is pretty hemmed in and makes my sa worse. It's been difficult getting my car out lately as well for fear of not getting it back in. Ppl in some of the nearby houses just park in the flats spaces and there's no road parking available. There's not a lot to go out and do here anyways mind you

Yeah, she's the old friend who came late to my dads funeral and then stayed for the rest of the day/afternoon. She seems quite keen on us meeting up more.

I think i know what you mean, it's unpleasant feeling being watched. Have you thought about getting a private car park/residents only sign? You can get one on amazon or ebay. Has any of your (flat) neighbours said anything about the problem?

She seems like a good friend. Can't the two of you meet alone? Or with just the kids - that could be fun.

No, the landlord owns/manages the houses to the side of us as well. It's really one of the neighbours sons and there mates and girlfriends and so on visiting.
It would cause more trouble than it's worth.

Maybe, though it's round her house so if her partners there then I just have to go along with it. I chose Sunday cause I though the drive might be quieter and I don't really know where I'm going, lol.

I turn 35 next month. Life ain't good. My social anxiety is thankfully not what it used to be but it still affects me enough to impact my life.

Can't believe I first came to this site when I was about 23 and remember posting that I was having a "mid-20s crisis". I felt so old and past it at 25. And here I am a decade later, realising just how young I actually was.

Feeling nostalgic I guess. This site was a lifeline back in my mid 20s

Not sure how much more I have left.

I try I really do. And I have achieved. I feel the best surely must be behind me right ? surely. Rhetorical question no answers please.

You just need to get past this difficult period, I'm sure things will improve for you.

^^That's not so, you're very loved and would be greatly missed. It's just the depression talking. I care about you.

"So, so" at the moment... Feeling under-appreciated at work at the moment (long story...). Yesterday was just another prime example when I was blamed for making mistakes which turned out weren't even mine... As usual though, I'm blamed for everything.

Fortunately, tomorrow is my last day in work until the 28th. I'm off down to Devon for a long weekend (I go there every year) and have a few days off around it also.

I just need to get away from feeling as if I'm simply 'existing' to be argued with or used as some sort of punchbag. It's been another rotten year for our family. Having to deal with my mother's cancer (thankfully stage one), my brother had pneumonia in January that took him a good few months to recover from, dealing with my last surviving grandparent passing away and then my mother (again) being diagnosed with diabetes. Then there's my father retiring from work (rightfully so, he's 65 and worked since he was 15) which puts us in a difficult situation financially... My own health is suffering as I'm lucky to get five hours sleep a night and my Colitis has flared up through the stress.

It's a good job I have a thicker skin than I used to because otherwise I'd have been visiting my doctor regularly again... I am actually considering visiting him because I'm struggling to cope with everything at the moment.

I am in bits.

The only person I have or would ever talk to about this kind of thing has just watched his mum getting loaded into the back of a blacked out ford transit (15 plate with anthracite alloys). She wasnt just a neighbours mum, she was a very special lady.

Is it ok to be angry that facebook randoms who never met her found out hours before me even though she was not even 20 meters away ? I guess its just misdirected anger.

And also hungry.

^ & ^^

Thank you both, I feel so utterly powerless. I have two good friends in serious need at the moment, neither of whom I am able to contact and neither of whom I would even know how to help anyway. The more I think about it the less I think he is going to cope, poor fella
