Yes I remember this one too although it didn't make me feel like crying. I was about 8 at the time. I remember hearing songs when I was doing something like one time when my uncle was driving me to see my cousins I can remember a song which went chepper chepper cheap cheap..'last night I heard my momma singing a song, ooh eeh chepper chepper cheap cheap'. Any one know which one I mean?

Two songs my parents said i liked as a toddler were 'Standing on the corner' by the King brothers and Living doll by Cliff Richard.
Earliest song i can remember is probably Venus by Bobby Vee or Why by Frankie Avalon/Anthony Newley.

Imagine by John Lennon

1980 - me aged 10 at friend;s birthday party - all dancing to music on radio - news broadcast - John Lennon had been shot and died - the radio played Imagine. all the adults cried and that made all the children howl. a very moving memory.

Don't know how old I was, but whenever I hear it I remember sitting in the back of the car singing my head off with my Mum and Dad exchanging smiles, except the words I sang were 'Yuffy! There's no need to feel down, I said, Yuffy! Get your feet on the ground ... '
(I now realise it was actually 'young man' - but I still sing 'yuffy')

When I was a baby 'Bryan Adams - Everything I Do...' used to stop me crying apparently, and I used to love 'Deee Lite - Groove Is In The Heart'.

The first song I can remember myself though is '2 Unlimited - There's No Limit'. I remember my mum having it on cassette in her car and I ALWAYS made her put it on whenever we were driving anywhere. Awesome.
