^ I watched the first episode last night, looks like it's going to be good and it's got Sugar in out of Banshee so that's a bonus.

I'm two episodes into Luke Cage at the moment too. Seems to be a bit of a slow burner but it's starting to get interesting now IMO.

Ali Wong Baby Cobra.

I don't watch stand up, so I've got nothing to compare this to, but y'all need to watch this stand up on Netflix... Too funny. I relate to her on so many levels, she is the female me, no lie.

I loved The OA! It's not a lot of people's cup of tea but i was gripped by the end of the first episode.

I also enjoyed Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. Quirky and funny.

I might have to give "The OA" another go. After the first episode I gave up it seamed very portentous and overacted. and by the seventh time she had dramatically turned to camera and said "I'm the O.A!" I was laughing.

Black Mirror an interesting one. Set in the future, and the 1st episode revolves around this pretend future where stuff like Tinder has taken a life of its own- where everybody is rating social encounters with everyone out of 5. And high ratings lead to bigger and more prestigious benefits.

Marvel: the Iron Fist is alright if you ignore can one or two horrendous episodes as it's starting to set the story, and if you think about it like a comic book.

I have just found Z for Zacchariah on netflix. Book I read at school, £7.99 to rent on Amazon or something, so I'm chuffed I can watch it.

IP Man 3 yesterday quite good martials arts one, with a decent story.

'How most things work'- nice slow foreign based sentimental one, with a nice woman in her 20s as the lead. If someone likes Amelie, a chance they might like.

Aww I'm liking glow. Haven't watched any for a while as GOT and Twin Peaks have taken over TV viewing for now.

Really enjoyed crazy ex girlfriend. I like Kimmy Schmidt but don't really give it my full attention so probably miss a lot of the jokes.

Watched Iron fist even though it was a bit crappy, there was something about it that kept me watching. Only watched a couple of episodes of daredevil. Will go back to that at some point. Really like Jessica Jones, found it a bit too intense to start with but have got into it and binge watched a few episodes the other day. David Tennant is awesome in it.

Gotham is good but they're not up to date with all the series.

The amount of content coming out on Netflix and Amazon and in the cinema in the second half of this year is insane, especially on Netflix.
There's never been anything like it. And there probably never will be again.
So much of it looks like quality stuff too, in all genres: unique, innovative, and of course the usual stuff.
I wonder why. I guess these guys are going to war over audience ownership; and if you want to win that war, you have to do it with good stuff. It's completely unsustainable to produce so much content, so someone will eventually buckle, and someone will win. Apparently, Netflix is in a lot of debt, like billions and billions, so they seem to be taking a huge gamble trying to be crowned king.
They'll probably get bought by Disney soon enough, then it'll be shit- like Star Wars is now.
Until then, they'll give us enough good stuff to last for years.
