Re: Do you have a cat?
Don't have any pussy cats anymore
but had 3 black cats all at once when we were growing up. (Alfie, Elmo and Stimpy) The neighbours (bunch of country bumpkin rednecks) used to say my mum was a witch lol, one of them was a stray who just turned up on the doorstep in the snow one year and we ended up adopting him |

Re: Do you have a cat?
No, I have a dog.
My partner has not one but three of them in a studio apartment. God... meow MEOW MEOW at 5am. Or climbing all over you when you try to sleep. Climbing everywhere. And their fur... is there anywhere it doesn't get??? and their litter... it produces a dust (it turns to sawdust when peed on)... and again, everywhere. You'd have to be cleaning several times a day to keep up with it. And maybe it's because I'm used to my dog (and he is weirdly smart for a dog)... but they seem so boring in comparison. Like you talk to them and they just ignore you or stare at you. They definitely not as responsive as a dog. They remind me of my rabbits I used to have as a kid in that way... they will come to you and let you stroke them... but that's about it. But my brother has a male cat and he's lovely. He is really docile, doesn't climb on things except the bed and sofa... and because there is only one of him his fur doesn't make such a mess. My brother uses a litter that doesn't do that tracking thing. One of her cats attacked me because I was stroking it. Wham no warning just scratch on my hand. I will admit I find them kind of cute... but if I lived with them they'd have to confined to certain rooms (i.e. not the bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen). Maybe they're so climby etc because they're confined in a small flat and never go outside? Or, maybe cats only respond to one person? |

Re: Do you have a cat?
Still have a cat despite me worrying that he was about pop his feline clogs a week or so ago, not 100% healthy, but not likely to lose yet another of his lives. He was suffering liver failure and jaundice, but remarkably he has made an amazing recovery.
