I don't let on, and I don't tell them about it.

If they know about it you'll get fired for sure.

Re: Anxiety in the workplace.
I guess that depends on whether you have a sympathetic line manager and the general culture of your workplace. I suspect that attitudes of employers vary wildly from understanding and supportive to intolerant and bullying.
When I was working I never felt able to discuss anxiety problems with anyone in a management position. Social anxiety hugely impaired my ability to do any job properly. So much so that I haven't been able to hold down any job for more than 12 months during the last 20 years. In fact I've given up on the idea of doing paid work altogether after not being in employment for 10 years. Bit of a shame really cos I'm actually highly qualified in my field. |

Re: Anxiety in the workplace.
I have never mentioned my anxiety at work, to anyone. Anxiety doesn't really affect me too much at work and I feel it's something personal and private to me that I wouldn't want the people I work with to know about. It only becomes an issue when staff leaving do's and Christmas parties crop up. Even then, I'm pretty sure people think I don't go because I don't drink
