I've never actually had taco's before So no idea if the recipe is authentic ish or not. It's stewing away in the pot and smells good so far tho.

Other than the slightly too mild beef It's soooo nice, esp the salsa. I used to make fajitas alot but no one ever told me how tasty corn tacos are

Right now I'm filling (or trying to fill) out an application form for a health and social care apprenticeship at the place where I'm currently volunteering. Ah, why is talking about yourself so hard, I can just about bring myself to say I'm a caring and empathetic person, but any more and I just feel like I'm being arrogant and it feels unnatural

An apprenticeship sounds like a great step Olly
But yeah I know what you mean, i find it incredibly hard to big myself up on applications. I've tried writing a few covering letters for work experience opportunities at vets/animal places and it just feels so awkward, untrue and weird 'selling' myself.
You just need to think sod it and believe in yourself.

Thanks, if I get it, it would be a big step, not one I was planning on, but I've been thoroughly enjoying my time at the place where I volunteer and when I heard about the possibility of an apprenticeship opening up there, I thought it could be a great opportunity

I've had what I think are some decent ideas of what would be good to write, like the progress I've made and I'd like to think I have a fair chance of getting the position because I've already been volunteering there and know the charity well, but it's still awkward
