Icky mould & mushroom problem! Yackkkkk
Has anyone also lived in a house where mushrooms grow out of certain walls?
I know a bit of mould is probably a common problem. How do you stop mushrooms and mould from growing on certain walls? The ironic thing is that my bedroom is neat but the bathroom and living room is a mess tbh. Mushrooms are growing on the wall between the bathroom and living room, its disgusting I just swept some growing mushrooms from the living room skirtboard, if that is the name for the board at that connects the floor to the wall. Idk yoo much about.cleaning but imagine I would never allow my house to become gross, I would.probably teach myself more about cleaning lol. I know the mushrooms are gonna grow again, yuck. |

I used to hate mould and mushrooms, but they've grown on me.

Serious answer - get your landlord/the council/whoever involved, nobody should be expected to live with that. Mushrooms growing out of the wall is really bad. |

HG mould spray is good stuff i used to sell it in my shop but it does not sort out the root of the problem so it will still come back at some point. The cause of the problem will be either damp in which case you do need to contact the council or condensation, if it is the latter it can be sorted with kontrol damp crystal.

You've got a serious damp problem and you need to get it fixed right now.
Are there any pipes in that wall (I'm guessing there are since it's a bathroom wall)? If so it's probably a water leak. Do your water pipes ‘sing’ even when all the taps are off (mains leak), or do you have any warm spots on the mouldy wall (central heating or hot water leak)? Just complain to the landlord/council/whoever yourself and they'll probably come out to fix it whether your mum likes it or not – mould is a serious health hazard and I'm pretty sure they are legally obliged to remove it, and the water leak (if you have one) should be their responsibility as well. |

If it's a council house I would have thought they'd want to get it sorted straight away because it's rotting away their house. |
