Default Site donations

If it were possible to donate some funds towards the running and upkeep of the board, do you think you would contribute?

Don't worry - the board's not about to close or anything. This is borne more out of curiosity than anything

yeah - a bit.

however, i think that, in all fairness, the rich members of the forum should pay for a really awesome site for all us povs.

I got a reseller ISP account for my business, so could offer bandwidth unlimited hosting if need be. And would be more than happy to contribute to any other costs that may arise.

I would certainly pay a small amount as it has given me a lot over the past two years but I'm not rich so I think £10 a year per person is a reasonable amount.

Would the donators gain some power and control over the board? :D

Actually in all seriousness it might be nice to be allowed extra features. Maybe a image telling everyone you are a donator.

Definally have an option to turn it off though if theres an image or words telling everyone. Something like that can easily fit next to the name or better still on the right corner with the msn stuff. "Donater" or an image.

Personally I would turn it off or rather not have it though so definally needs an off option or simply able to ask the mods not to do it. They can ask beforehand. This is just using my imagination and I dont know what is possible or not nor do I wish to learn.

If that sounds uninteresting then sure other benefits can be thought up.

I've been here long enough to feel that the place has earned at least a few quid from me. I'm not rich though, so it would just be a few quid.

I don't have much but I think if it was put forward to contribute when you can I would be happy to do that.

I would assume the site is currently paid for by Anne, purely out of her own good will and enthusiasm in providing something that she believes is a good cause? Even if there were no additions or improvements I'd still happily donate my money.

'tis - all out of Anne's hard earned salary, bless her

ETA: Just thought I'd add that given half a chance, I'd happily donate some money

I'd happily donate, as long as the way to make the payment is easy, PayPal for example.
