Re: Small things that make you smile
my friend who haven't seen since I was 16 messaging me completely out of the blue today. Well the first message didn't make me smile, it sent me in a complete panic but after replying his next one did as he was so warm and friendly and invited me to come down and watch Spurs with him next season - he said getting tickets wouldn't be a problem. Result.

Re: Small things that make you smile
Yep, i worry when im in a job asking to use the toilet over and over... even that scares me and would tbh annoy employers. so i guess i have to hold it till i blow up.
Acutally once when i was on the college bus i was so desperate to go i actually was in intense agony my kidneys were hurting and i literally was about to explode. i was in a lot of pain that day and still remember it 3 years later, probably did some damage to my kidneys. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
i think im getting better at going to the toilet in certain conditions, when i was at jury service our room had our own toilet just round a little fake wall so when you went everyone else could clearly hear you. I put that damn thing off despite jiggling about in court like a muppet but i gave up in the end of the last afternoon and went for it..it took tactical aim of pissing on the bowl instead of making a noise but at least it came out quite quick
..now urinals...cant do them |

Re: Small things that make you smile
@ Mark the best thing i ever did was tell my family about my toilet issues so i dont feel pressured around them and also they understand why i am frequenting the toilet so much. I even went to the doctors but bailed out of my arranged cystocopy (tubes up my wang, errrr i dont think so).

The familiar faces of TV.
For me, it has to be the BBC London news team. I've grown up watching them. I get upset if Riz Lateef isn't presenting the 6.30 London news. And how I love the smily faces of Peter Cockroft and Wendy Hurrell. I could go on. Sounds like i'm being sarcastic, but i'm being serious lol. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
^me too, i love ducks.
i went for a walk thru the woods near my house and theres a pond/lake, i stopped both ways going into the forest and heading back home, to watch ducks for a bit. both times this duck waddled up right to me, looked me up and down, then walked off. he thing was probably mad i didn't feed it ---------- a colleague today asked if i'm alright because i've been quiet lately. that was nice. |

^ Yes he probably wanted food Vanessa
I mainly find myself smiling when I'm watching TV. I was watching Dinner Date (my latest dubious TV craze) and was surprised when I became aware I was grinning like a Cheshire cat |

Re: Small things that make you smile
Natural areas in urban areas.
A lot of people forget about all the natural spaces in London. Not talking just about the parks, but the nature reserves. A good is example is Mudchute Park on the Isle of Dogs (that bit of land which includes Canary Wharf etc). It really feels like a place in the countryside. Walthamstow/Hackney marshes and Epping Forest (which reaches all the way to the Wanstead area near the Olympic Park). I've always wanted to go to Richmond Park aswell, which is huge. |

Re: Small things that make you smile
When people run past you on the street, only for you to catch up to them waiting to cross the road. The lights change, they sprint off, and you walk up to them again waiting at the next crossing.
5 blocks this went on for. I hope they at least felt like they were getting somewhere quicker. |
