Soooooo it's getting closer to Eurovision 2013

My favourite of all time!

And this year - this is my favourite I've seen so far purely for the randomness they brought. Rapping astronauts and a woman wearing half a pair of glasses

They haven't made the final, though

The Russian grannies last year were fantastic. They've been trying to make it less silly in recent years which is a shame.

they had literally EVERYTHING that sums up Eurovision in those 3 mins! It's a fix, I tell ya, especially when you saw some of the entries that went through!

I dunno. I quite liked the Moldovan woman that turned into a human volcano. But yeah the rest were godawful and very plain. No Russian grannies, latex or mentalness to be seen! Highly disappointing. Like yourself, I hope for better tonight!

^I liked that last year it was good to see the winners together. Alexander Rybak comes on at about 3 and a half mins. Waterloo at the end is painful!!

I loved the hats from Moldova's 2011 entry. Moldova does some really mental stuff. They had a guy last year singing about his trumpet and really bamming up how good it was, but he never brought it on stage with him

I don't think he had a trumpet. That, or trumpet is a euphemism for something less innocent

They also had Epic Sax Guy in 2010 and some awesome hats in 2011

Yeah, it was nice to see a song that ended up selling throughout Europe and beyond for it's marketability and catchiness. That rarely happens nowadays.

Obscure and bad songs are also good, in a bad way too

This is the purpose of this thread :D to revel in all of the awesomeness that's been and gone and to force others to learn of it and acknowledge its greatness in the bigger picture - sort-of in a brainwashing kinda way. Only less cult-like, but still obsessional

Now I don't like 90% of what is entered into Eurovision but this one was the first one i've liked. I must have played it religiously in the weeks afterwards on Spotify.

Looking back before my time then Waterloo has to be another favourite Euro track because of partly the historical context being the history buff I am.

This one just highly amusing!

Reminds me of the stage invasion one from 2010!! - It only enhanced the performance! Love seeing the security manhandling him off the stage! Watch from 1min 10 secs to see the weirdness unfold

This was so awful but catchy at the same time and nearly went all the way in 2006.

The cheesiness is good but couple of actually decent songs have come out of it. I have two in my spotify collection:
