Do you think with your head or your heart?
Sorry if this is a bit silly but..
Do you think with your head or your heart? I think I tend to think with my head... A friend recently e-mailed me (not seen him in agggges - he lives in America) and told me to 'stop thinking with my heart and think with my head'. But I'd say I think with my mind too much because that's really where all this SA stuff comes from. |

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
hello
thats a good one, i think my main problem is that i do think with my head too much thats what got me in this state in the first place. i'm now unable to go with my heart, and just be 'me'. kate |

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
being a bloke i spend 30% of my time thinking with my head 10% thinking with my heart and 60%..well lets say thinking with other parts of my body.
edit:sorry, i ive been in a funny mood...i know what its like when someone turns a good thread into a joke. in seriousness i generally think with my head...my heart can be very impulsive...so i suppose usually i have a heart thought that says i want this and that then my head rationalises it and makes the right choice..i hope |

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
I do my best never to think with anything at all.
Thinking gets me in all sorts of trouble. I advise strongly against thinking!!!!!! |

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
Ideally you want to listen to both, and then come to balanced conclusion. I sometimes listened too much to one or the other, and made bad decisions as a result - if I'd listened to both, I may of made better/realistic ones.

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
My heart is far bigger than my brain so rarely loses in a fight to the point the brain seemed to throw in the towel years ago as rarely bothers anymore.

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
The last couple of years my head and my heart have been at war. My head has won, but deep down I know my heart has got the answer to my true happiness!

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
I think with my brain
Sorry, I don't know really. I've made so many wrong decisions I probably didn't think properly at all half the time. Just went with the flow. |

Re: Do you think with your head or your heart?
There's times I think with my heart too much of the time and seeing as i'm a deeply sensitive, empathetic kinda guy I tend to get moved by things too much and end up doing or saying really messed up things. It's too hard to explain.
Most of the time though, I think with my mind. thoughts dash in and out of it and I can't stop it, I really really can't but I suppose it's what's saved my life. If I thought with my heart too much, I'd be dead by now because my heart would be telling me it's the right thing to do, but my mind would replay all the repercussions and advise me otherwise, no matter how badly my heart years for death. My heart says yes, my says no. That's how it is most of the time. It's like two people battling against each other - my heart being the good, my mind being the bad or should I say the stone cold realist. |
