Default Can you foresee a future where the bowl cut makes a come back?

Seems that all sorts of of retro styles are coming back these days. Surely this doesn't mean that in 10 or 20 years the abomination that was the pudding bowl haircut will suddenly be back in?

A future of pudding bowls and global hypercolour t-shirts worn for retro chic is a very bleak prospect indeed!

If you ask me fashion is freakin' dreadful in this day and age. Seriously. People wear clothes like they are making a statement, yeah sure, what kind of statment are they making? >>>> look at me I look dreadful, aren't I cool. <<<< At best I have a love/hate r/s with it.
One positive thing though being if you are prone to being SA when out and about its easier to blend in no matter (ok to a degree) what you wear. Can't explain why though, just a feeling....

Some of the older members might remember singer Mike Flowers

It wouldnt suprise me if it came back into fashion. It'd probably still be sort of geeky though, but some people like to look geeky.

The 90's man!

Everyone who was anybody had a step, undercut and curtains.

It was rarely the full bowl, but it might as well have been.

I've been watching that series about the those Amish teenagers who came to live over here for a while. The males have terrible bowl haircuts - it's part of their culture apparently.

In high school I had a series of disastrous haircuts that always grew out into a bowl...

They were sad times.

It already is, Tim Burgess of The Charlatans is sporting a rather nice one apparently in homage to the 20th anniversary of their album Some Friendly.

Yep, I remember doing this on a friend who'd asked for it. Shameful.
I only did it on the condition that he promise never to tell anyone it was my work!

I actually saw someone with a bowl cut in Liverpool the other day, I nearly spat my tea out in horror. The scary thing was he was quite a trendy looking person with a very attractive girlfriend.

I really hope this isn't something that catches on.....

It would save a fortune on hairdressers' bills and help those of us who hate hairdressers.

They can look quite nice with the right shaped bowl

I passed a couple of guys with half their faces covered with fringe a few days back, the bowl cut would be a weak downgrade to them.

They believe people who don't have bowl cuts are going to burn in hell for eternity.

My mum's got a big primary school photo of me, my older bother and sister together, taken in either 1985 or 1986 and we all had EXACTLY the same bowl hair cuts, only my sister's was a bit longer.

Their dichotomy is the wrong way around. A bowler haircut is actually a ticket straight down to the extra fiery section of hell, they don't even get their complimentary bag of marshmallows.
