I feel sort of almost happy but also terrified of letting myself feel happy. My brain is a bastard.

I'm feeling happy and positive.
I still don't see my grandsons which makes me sad but I have learned to deal with it better.
Some good things have happened lately and for the first time in many years I feel life is worth living.

Feeling like I'm walking up the down escalator, I want to stop walking, but know that if I do I'm going nowhere but down, down down...

Older, everything seems to cause aches and pains for me now, I've managed to knacker my foot with my cycling.

So I've been thinking of killing myself most of my life. I haven't because ya know decisions, decisions, drowning or slit wrists? I couldn't decide how to kill myself so I got some help instead. So now I'm on the road to recovery ("we're on a road to nowhere.") and I'll probably live happily ever after.

^ Oops, sorry. I can't remember now, probably sexually

I'm feeling bored and fed up. I do have plenty of things I should be doing, just negative amounts of motivation. I got up early and showered, I was full of good intentions this morning. I've mostly been sat staring into space since then though.

Tired but unable to sleep, worrying about work and hoping the wee dude won't wake. Just waiting for the clock to reach 5.30am, so today's hamster wheel monotony will commence...

Aww thanks X I'm going to be buying Bachs Rescue Remedy to try today - I'm in a cycle where I can't switch off from work and have a good sleep and a few things panic me at work. I figure it's worth a try to see if it makes any difference. I hope you're well x

Hacked off. Generally fed up with life and some of the particularly nasty people in it. some people are selfish, manipulative and thoroughly unpleasant. They find someone with stupid written on their forehead ( it must be on mine ) and they walk all over you. Guilt trip you into sorting out their problems and then when you finally say 'enough' they make you feel bad for finally pulling the plug on their leeching behaviour. Rant over.

^ Thanks. I know you are right. It's weird because the only person to blame for the fact that people take advantage of me is me coz I've allowed them to do it!!! I wish I could be more assertive because it is possible to be so without being rude or unkind. I let people get away with all sorts and they don't respect me for it. I would in fact get more respect if I did lay down clear boundaries as to what is and is not acceptable. I'm struggling at the moment because I am very angry with myself for allowing people to treat me the way they have and I'm angry with them for having the nerve to do it, but because I haven't told them they can't I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they do!!! The worst offenders have been eliminated from my life now though so I just need to make sure I become assertive in the future. I just feel really bad saying the word 'No' !
