yep i generally go out the front door and turn left to my car - then drive off (80%) of the time to the left

i go out the back door and turn left into the back garde n more often than right - as that would go into next doors

Not universally true. Lots of things have left-handed threads (some of which break catastrophically if you accidentally overtighten/loosen them), though they're not normally adjusted with screw drivers.

^ They aren't that common which explains why it can be really confusing if you encounter them where you don't expect. My brother had an Audi and couldn't screw in his tow bar, and neither could I until I realised it had a left handed thread.

The left rear hub bearing nut is left-hand threaded on some cars too.
