That I wish had some chocolate in the cupboard. A tuna baguette isn't really going to hit the spot today.

^^ I get referred to as 'interesting' in much the same way. Personally, I think it's the rest of the world that odd.

I get 'weird', 'blunt', 'outspoken'

The latter two are nicer way of saying I'm a gobby cow.

My son's new cot arrived. I told him it was his new bed so he lay down on the box to go to sleep.

'What kind of ****ing bed is this mum?'

I don't think anything would make me want to watch the first one again.

I am getting anxious about the fact I think I have accidentally thrown my neighbour's parcel out with the recycling....it was by the door, which was also where the recycling was, and I have taken the recycling out, and now no parcel....I so hope my flatmate moved it or something.

But really I know I have accidentally thrown it away. Thinking about what to do: Go out to recycling bin and try to get the top off to have a root around? (They're big industrial skips, not normal bins); or do I offer to pay for the cost of the parcel? (Might cost me a lot); or do I tell him what has happened and offer to help him find it if he doesn't mind taking the lid off the bin (might be too dark by then)...

I would double check with your flatmate first then have a rummage about in the bins if you can. It might be found before you need to think about offering to pay for the parcel.

Open the lid and see if it's near the top! Have you got a broom to stir it around with? Hope you find it!

Being more part of community or connectting with more people around me whom I can relate to seem like the simple, but easier said than done, answer to me being happy.

Thanks! I thought it looked too heavy for me to lift, see - it's one of those you don't lift the lid, you put it through the flaps.

As it turns out, I was blaming myself for no reason. Flatmate came home and told me they collected it this morning! Panic for no reason!

He's now moodily stomping around the house because the toilet blocked this morning and he'd done a big shit in it. He's spent the last couple of hours trying to unblock it without using a plunger (which I originally suggested...) Meanwhile, I'm mid-big clean and he's in my way.

I should probably just try not to be so scared of him but for some reason anger really freezes me up!

And that is what I'm thinking about...

^^ Phewf!!

I usually get the excess water out with a measuring jug and then plunge it with the toilet brush. That usually works!

I normally tie a plastic bag around the end of a mop and use that as a plunger - always works really quickly for me! I'm not sure I could cope with a measuring jug mind...I'm way to squeamish for that kind of proximity!

Our toilet gets blocked all the time, unfortunately. I think it may be positioned in such a way that the water isn't escaping very easily, I've had a toilet like that before.

After a full bottle of sink unblocker and about 10 kettles of water it seems he has shifted it

I've heard (from a plumber) that fancy toilet paper is one of the leading causes of blockages. It's too thick and doesn't break down as easily as the cheap stuff.

On the subject of toilets, I was having a wee today (I usually wait until I get home because university toilets are filthy, but I really needed to go) and when I was washing my hands afterwards, I spotted two men (late teens, early twenties) walking out of the same cubicle. I don't know what they were doing in there - something to do with sex or drugs, I presume. Not that there's anything wrong with that. They didn't wash their hands though.

I'm always scared people will unfairly judge me on not washing my hands when I use my own tube of antibacterial gel rather than the manky wash hand basins in public toilets.

Apparent non hand-washers aren't always what they seem.
