I was quite shock to hear about the death of Jana Novotna but she had been fighting cancer for sometime apparently.

You are allowed though? If he is in your house and your life is in danger, up to the point of killing an intruder, but you need to consider the circumstances. If anyone interested to read, here is the UK law:

https://www.cps.gov.uk/publications/...seholders.html

Like this situation, happened to a person in the town I lived before: the burglar came to the house with those huge garden pruner, not the small ones, but that big, which you hold with two hands and so the owner came and saw the burglar, but what he could do? So he just watched while this impudent burglar threatened him with these scissors and collected stuff.
Need to have a gun, to shoot this ****er in his face.

I watched documentaries, where people been killing burglars on their properties; they were right, they weren't sentenced.

^ Yeah, there are different types of guns though, it would add to your courage These guns are quite cheap and no need for licence and you won't kill an intruder, but will neutralize him :-)

Yea, guns are a bad idea. What type Do you mean boy, the boy wonder ?

When I lived at home we got back from my cousins funeral and left our back door open by mistake (we'd been up all night so we all fell asleep without locking it) . The next day some money and a few other things was missing. It's scary to realise what coulda happened but guess they was just youngsters lookin for some dough and not the Charles Manson types, thank goodness.

Get some good locks Windows/ doors, alarms and cameras ( if perving on the neighbours is your thing ) but not pistolas!

Wondering when my eyeball is going to stop stinging and settle down after I very cleverly jammed my finger in it this afternoon.

Also really wishing and hoping a dress I want comes back in stock in my size.

Thanks so much Rebka Today hasn't been too good but I'm putting it down to the lack of sleep, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Aww Thanks Boy I really appreciate the support. Hopefully this is just a blip and not the start of a decline.

I'm figuring out the logistics of attending at least some of the works' annual Christmas 'do'. It's on 2nd December and involves one pub and then a restaurant later on in the evening.

I don't want to attend the latter bit at the restaurant as someone is going there who I really struggle to deal with during the working week as it is. I don't want to spend a bit of my weekend with that person also.

However, the pub for a few drinks before hand sounds more my type of thing because not only is that person absent for that part of the 'get together' - it's also in the late afternoon so it doesn't involve me staying out until all hours - which simply isn't 'me'.

I'm hoping I can get a lift there and back from my father - otherwise I'm looking at around £25-30 in taxi fares for a round trip . I wouldn't even spend anywhere near that on drinks!

It was a suggestion put to me by someone. There are various websites that link ppl who want to getaway/stay somewhere different/look after animals to ppl who need a pet sitter (occasionally just house sitter) so they don't have to put there pets in kennels/catteries or because they have animals that need to stay at home like chickens or a sheep or horses etc..

I quite like it as an idea.

When did I become such a twat where eyes and fingers are concerned? I poked my pervy kitten in the eye a few months ago resulting in vet visits and medicine for her. Jabbed myself in the eye the other day and it's still hurting like a little bitch and just now I've gone and accidentally tried to blind another of my cats. I'm 33 and have always lived with cats and not once did I have eyeball to finger contact with any of them and now I've managed to do it to two in as many months! The ****?! At this rate I'm gonna have to start wearing oven mitts at all times.

Indeed they are. My kittens and their mum are anyway, they run riot around the flat and get up to all sorts of cheekiness. My other cat's just glued to the bed - she's too old and sophisticated for all that nonsense

The 2 appointments I've had today one at counselling and one at MIND. One's pushing me forward encouragingly and the other is telling me take it slowly. (regarding employment and the like).

So i'm even more clueless/indecisive than normal...

The lovely storm sounds outside. I fell asleep for a couple of hours and it seems/sounds to have cranked up a notch in that time.

Also why this emoticon never gets used anymore (aside from nobody posting, lol)

Seeing as how I feel tired and want to nap no matter how much sleep I get, I wonder if it'd work if I only let myself sleep for 5 hours at night, got up, then had a couple more hours sometime in the day when I'd usually give in and have a long nap regardless. I can't see why it wouldn't work, but it feels like cheating.
