^ A hot water bottle! yes, I’ll try that if I wake up in the morning to find that I’m 80 years old haha.

Microwave hotties 4life.

Or maybe in a helicopter over the grand canyon, and all you can think about is how much you wish you were back in your hotel room, as you really need a No.2?

David Attenborough lecturing everyone about climate change, ..

Yes David, and exactly how many aeroplane journeys to foreign climes have you made over the 70 years you have been filming animals humping in remote locations? (like some sick bestial peeping tom)
We already knew about the birds and the bees dude.
Did we really need to see that, or were you really just having a jolly good time playing the old collonial adventurer old boy?

I hate it when apps don't save my settings over and over or you can't change the defaults. Earlier today I was working on a 3d sculpture and it was set to have symmetry on every time the app is opened. I turned it off after an hour and found that I wasted about an hour ruining the other side. Unlike most models this one needed to be asymmetrical.

The stupid drama with my neighbours insisting that our bins now need to be at the end of the street continues.

I took mine out to the pavement in front of my house at about 4pm yesterday as usual, and there were other bins out there that hadn't been put at the end of the street yet. This morning I noticed that mine hadn't been moved, but literally every other bin had been. If I hadn't moved it to where the others were it wouldn't have been emptied since the collectors no longer check anywhere apart from that one spot at the end of the street because of the new routine that two people started last March. I don't know why the two neighbours who do this pointless task decided not to move mine (I assume it was a deliberate choice since the bins either side of mine were moved - unless both those neighbours had to move their own). It was nice to have "Be careful!" shouted at me this morning when trying to pull my bin past someone's car that was parked halfway across the pavement.

^ That's a great idea. I don't generate too much waste since I live on my own, so I only put the recycling bin out every other time (or even every three times) anyway. I could easily have it missed a few times when it's mostly empty so it wouldn't matter to me, but would mean I could report it as unemptied if it does happen.

I think if I called the council about this they would say "Just speak to your neighbours about it" as if things are that simple. I guess frequent reports about missed collections might make them look into though.

My eyebrows. I've never got them just right.

My Dad's eyebrows. They look ridiculous. He's starting to look like a Dickensian character. I keep telling him to use my eyebrow scissors, but he won't.

I have 3 mics set up and it's the inexpensive one MacGyvered to a old bendy lamp that sounds the best. The good one needs it's own articulated arm thing to get close to my voice, and away from the computer fan that it picks up so well.

My favourite thread on another forum is the one where people post those kinds disgusting or depressing meals. I can never get enough of seeing them!

Your mention of the hashtags beneath reminded me of this one:

Being told I should go to study without much reasoning. I dropped out of uni.

I think I have started to dislike advice like you should study or get a job. I know a job is important, but why is that considered helpful advice.

It ignores why I may have dropped out of university or why I usually find the jobs that I have had unpleasant to the point it can be a source of misery.

@Nanaq

Some people do eat raw meat and seem healthy, not me though.

It's probably like raw milk, though I don't know, in that it's healthy if the animal is raised on healthy foods.

I'm not sure it's a case of being "healthy" or not - it can be relatively harmless if it's very fresh and there's good hygiene in place (I don't think what the animal has eaten would have much to do with the safety of it). I've eaten chicken and horse sashimi before and been fine. I would never think about preparing and eating raw chicken at home though - the risk seems far, far too high for the reward

One advantage of being vegetarian is that I'd probably have fatally poisoned myself by now if I wasn't!

Are people that stupid?

I don't know if the photo or the comment makes me facepalm most.

I've only ever had beef sashimi in some swanky sushi place, thats about as far I've gone. I suspect I'd end up with food poisoning if i tried it myself, anything past beans on toast is fraught with danger

My brother lives in Nagoya, Japan where the local delicacy is raw chicken - chicken sashimi. My bro has eaten it too, how is he still alive?!

I'm neither right wing nor leftwing. I find it all a bit tweedle dum, tweedle dee.

I thought of this when Laurence Fox spoke of a "cathedral of wokeness". Urgh, it's all so lazy - such low hanging fruit. There are changes taking place, and such changes are difficult to get a grasp on. But they warrant a more probing analysis than the analysis anti-wokers offer up.
Excellent comment.

Those uncanny disembodied heads that pop up on some websites after you've been browsing for a few minutes. "Hi my name's George, can I help you?" No it isn't, you're just an AI in some server farm and you're scaring me away with your creepy unwanted attention. Get away, foul beast!

If he's rolling his eyes at you then you have every right to complain.
