^ only to visit my sister in the next town but it's only the second time I've been to visit her alone, I really hope I manage to be able to do it again.

I only passed my driving test last year and it took me almost a year to even go out in my car alone ive only just took my p plates off my car too.
I still have a lot to learn on the roads as I very rarely use my car and only like driving to places I feel familiar with.

Sorry about not replying to your PM yet I have a couple of messages I need to get round to reading and replying so your not the only one I haven't replied to yet.

I think I'll need a bigger boot for all the camping gear

The boot would be more than big enough. My pacs 65 litres so your boot, even if it's a tiny car, would probably be 4 times that.
I couldnt handle the fact my neighbours could see me mess up either, so for maybe 4 months my mum would drive me to the next town so I could do my lessons from there where nobody knew me then towards my test date my instructer then started picking me up from home.
If it wasn't for my mum doing that I really don't think I would have ever learnt to drive!
The things my poor mum does for me though bless her.

I used "Kalms" before every lesson but was still incredibly anxious.

That's nice of your dad to offer to buy you a car ! Would your parents ever take you out in their car and teach you to drive ? Maybe at a quieter time of the day.

I could always stick your stuff on the roof haha.

No I don't have a sat nav, Do the newer sat navs tell you which lanes you need to be in? I swear I heard there was one that told you.
I think that's what scares me a lot, being in the wrong lane and panicking about moving over when there's a car behind me.

Lol I'd have to get the bus or train and take lessons somewhere else.

My mother could never pick up driving so can't drive and the last time my old man owned a car I was 14.

I couldn't afford to run a car anyway.

How can you on benefits?

A kayak would go on the rough as I've always wanted a proper one but got no way of transporting it and the blow up ones are unsuitable for me.

Just went into a pub for lunch. Sat down only to find someone was sitting there. No SA. Apologised and found another seat.

For me this is standard stuff now. It took time but its good

I still get lost even with a sat nav, dropped my daughter off at the Trafford Centre 3 days in a row and came back a different way every day. Ended up in Bolton on one of the days

Completed my first day of volunteering at my local arts centre interacting with kids and parents as well as the volunteering staff and workshop leader. Didnt do too badly, tried to get involved even though i felt awkward and wanted to cling to the wall.
Survived a man from the water company randomly turning up on the doorstep and asking me to run a tap to ascertain after a year exactly where our water meter is. I was in my pjs so had to get trousers and hoodie on quick. I was not happy at having surprise authority social contact but i was friendly and though i stood and stared awkwardly at him not sure what to do with myself i did manage to go up and ask him which our meter was before he left. So he showed me, even wrote it on the meter for me which was nice, showed me how to turn water off and on, best way to open the panel etc and explained theyd be in touch to finally set up water bill and that hes checking most of the estate as theres been some confusion as to whose meter is whose and people being told they dont have one when they do.
I like to avoid things especially things regarding authority figures because i get very nervous but i survived and am starting to relax now.

Took my daughter's dog for a walk this morning and had a chat with an old man in the park while the dogs played, feels easier to do things like that where she lives for some reason.

Today I applied to do an MSc in Carbon and Energy Management at Heriot Watt University after not knowing what to do with my undergraduate degree in Geography. I also applied for an eight week placement with the University of Edinburgh calculating the carbon footprint of staff that commute to work. I'm really hoping that I get accepted to both. Its a big deal for me as I've been feeling very lost recently and had no idea what to do with my life. Also been suffering from very low mood and this is the first day in months when I have got up and actually done something!

Had a really low energy day today but at least I walked the dog, went to the supermarket, washed bedding, showered.

Finally, I have a post worth submitting in this thread. I have just been on cam for the first time with my SO for an hour. We've been speaking every day for 2 years and whilst he is comfortable camming whilst Skyping, I have never mustered up the courage to do it because of intense fear of rejection. I have some pretty severe image issues. He's seen an endless number of pictures, but with good lighting and clever angles, I've always looked a million bucks in them. I wasn't high or drunk doing it and most importantly, he loved what he saw. It's a good job because we're meeting in December. *huge sigh of relief*
