Oh, I want them to research the hell out of it - I'm just not ready to believe many of the claims made yet.

I've noticed quite a few times how pretty much all of my pain (chronic joint pains, chronic chest pains ) totally disappears,
it's also very calming and relaxing,. obviously.

trouble is, all the whacky / scary / shit going on in your head sometimes.

The trouble was previously it was deemed to have no medicinal value so it was difficult to get funding for studies of it (Although there was one medicine called Sativex which is for helping with spasms and pain in people with MS. But it's so expensive most people can't get it on the NHS anyway...) .

But now that they recently deemed it to have medicinal value because of the high profile cases of children with severe epilepsy being granted licences to be prescribed it hopefully more studies will be able to be done.

The really odd thing is that Britain is one of the largest growers and exporters of medicinal cannabis but we're not actually allowed to use it here!

I would do, but judging by the size of my sunflowers I don't think I'd be very successful

Some employers conduct random drug tests on their employees .

An acquaintance of mine (a carpenter) was tested along with his 15 other workmates recently on a building site.

He doesnt do drugs so passed no problem, but no less than 6 of his workmates failed the test and were sacked on the spot (no warnings or anything). Seemingly these tests are not that uncommon nowadays in the construction industry.

I'll get back to arguing about this later, but as someone who had epilepsy in my youth I have to mention that as my mum was against using conventional epilepsy drugs I ended up being treated with... nothing! It sort of worked in that I stopped having fits when I was about 16 or 17 (I wouldn't recommend it, though!)

^ I'm not sure that's the best route to go down no, but good that you've recovered! The cases of these children are where they're having dozens of fits a day and the conventional drugs haven't worked.

Yes, it was the Billy Caldwell story that first led to me looking into the evidence for cannabis oil and such.

When I say it "worked" I'm not being entirely serious! I was lucky that it went away.

Seems really odd to sack everyone,
What you do for harmless recreation in your own personal free time is no business of your employer, different if you were a policeman or an airline pilot or something,
Pretty much every joiner I know dabbles in something or other,

An interesting article about what parents of children with severe epilepsy trying to get a licence for them to be prescribed medical cannabis are going through at the moment.

That's horrible! I imagine when a lot of companies what to reduce their wage bill they conduct 'drug tests' knowing that a decent number of employees will use it.

That way no notice period or redundancy to pay.

I tried it when i was 14 and i liked it, a little too much. Approximately 30 days off it now and i want to keep it going for as long as i can. I'm very much an advocate for weed but for me i used it as an escape and smoked too much of it for too long, i over did it, my brain cells and in particular my cannabis receptors must resemble some shriveled up old.. hmm i dunno... see.

Has anyone here tried CBD oil? It has my interest

Several times. Actually, the only drug I haven't tried is heroin.

Cannabis is alright. Just OK. I'm not a fan of cabbaging out in armchairs for 10 hours so it doesn't really suit me.

Its been years since I did any drugs, pretty sure I won't bother again. I'm happy sticking to booze these days.

I had a fair bit of it, but I never saw the major appeal of it. I only ever had it when with other people who were having it.

It had such an inconsequential impact on me, I often forget I ever did it. I did try stronger stuff too, but I found the effects unpleasant. Inhaling bongs full of hash mix and other shite was too much. I remember the sofa kept trying to eat me

Don't do drugs kids.

do you know of any pictures of a typical 'weed face'?..
I think I'd find it interesting & highly (sic) amusing,

weed makes me an anxious mess too,. for the most part,
I'm sure it's down to my brain being 'stamped' or imprinted with this anxiety when I was young,
when I was a teenager I smoked the odd bit of dope, but the idea of my parents,(particularly my father) finding me out gave the effects a horribly sharp edge of anxiety in the mix,..

so even now,. with parent long dead,.. in my own house, with no threat of being caught etc..it all just still feels so wrong and dangerous and I hate it as a result.

I wish it did chill me out, but it seems to just leave me panic-stricken every time
