Im feeling arrgh

Got a voicemail from my old car insurance company - they all of a sudden have been contacted by the opposing insurance company (months later) and want proof that I sold the car (that went up in flames). Do I know what I did with the little slip of paper? do I hell. I moved so much last weekend to accommodate the stuff from storage that I now have no idea where I put it. Yet annoyingly I was only looking at it the other week.

Why do all these companies wait f'ing months to get round to this stuff, yet demand instant cooperation when its the other way around.

Well get me. Have zero recollection of appropriately filing away my car V5C/3 document but I did. Shame I didn't think I did before going on a mad hunt round my flat

I got the internet package upgraded yesterday (twice the speed for £4 a month less - sure)

A 200mb line frankly tickles my balls, I still remember trying to download mp3's on 56k dial up

I'm currently amusing myself downloading updates I didn't need but why the hell not (I'm easily amused) it won't last long

I forgot that I used to have a Windows Phone! When I was at school everyone had a Nokia, some even had teeny ones - small as your thumb. But we couldn't afford to have stuff like that, so I had a Sagum phone that resembled a calculator. Fast forward to a few years later, I got a job in WHSmith and cobbled some money together to get a phone. I was on Pay as You Go, so couldn't afford the pricey phones. And I was with Virgin Mobile and they used to offer crazy good deals where you got rewards for being on Pay as You Go, like £40 off a phone. I saw a Nokia phone and wanted to know what it was like to have one and it was a Windows phone.


Worst decision out of a whole lot of bad decisions that I made that year. Think it went wrong? So I borrowed my Dad's phone (also a Nokia Windows phone) and someone stole it from me when I was on a bus! I wasn't cross - thought they must be in a really bad place to have needed to steal a Windows phone. Hang about....was it you, Rocket Spud?

Pfft, love and care don't always make the best decisions when it comes to buying phones for your elders. My aunt got gifted an iphone recently, she's 80 odd - i'm not being ageist, but in this case..........
