I mainly have only US channels to choose from, and while there are some decent programmes the amount of ad breaks makes it too infuriating to sit through them.

There's always BBC America, which consists almost exclusively of Top Gear, Star Trek Next Generation and Gordon ****ing Ramsay. They did just also finish the latest season of Being Human which I enjoyed enormously, and you get the odd episode of Torchwood.

Mainly though I watch DVD's - I have just started watching the West WIng for the first time ever, which I am getting quite into, series 1 and 2 done, waiting for series 3 to arrive.

Season 2 was excellent. I can't wait to see the third. Fingers crossed that Five US will pick this up again.

I enjoyed the first episode of Walking Dead as well!

Was surprised to see the guy from Teachers in what seems to be the main role. Strange how many English actors they have in a lot of these shows playing American characters. It was the same with The Wire, though I wouldn't have had a clue they were English at the time.

Yea i couldn't believe Mcnulty and Stringer Bell are from england and bill in true blood. English actors seem to dominate the best american t.v shows lol.

I'm enjoying two comedy series at the moment."The Trip" and "Getting On".Both are heavily improvised which leads to some dull spots but also some golden moments.

Lee Adama in Battlestar Galactica is English, also May Carcetti in The Wire and Jax from Sons of Anarchy but he talks with a proper American accent now apparently.

Aidan Gillen, who played Carcetti, is Irish, not English.
