Default AvPD

Has anyone had a formal Avoidant Personality Disorder (AvPD) diagnosis? Or been down that road and found otherwise? It's obviously a condition with shedloads of overlaps with SA, but the need to fulfill the diagnostic requirements of a general personality disorder mark AvPD out a fair bit.

I'm borderline apparently but not sure I can be be arsed with extra psych appointments to confirm. So I'm curious about other experiences with diagnostics, the process and treatment.

Ta.

I keep getting referred for therapy at places that specialise in personality disorders, and I'm 95% sure I have one. Avoidant seems the likeliest, as there's no component of it that doesn't apply to me quite profoundly. I'd like to be properly diagnosed, but I don't really know how, or if it's something they like to do unless it's necessary for some reason. I don't see a psychiatrist, not sure if that's a requirement to getting diagnosed.

Also, I can't read the acronym without seeing Alien vs Predator Disorder. Just thought I'd share that.
