I was traipsing around a shop with mother and brother Merritt the other day, and I felt the lure of the toy section, but didn't venture in due to being a 34 year old adult. It was full of cheap unbranded action sets, massive tanks and helicopters and dinosaurs and the like, boxes the size of a house for £15. I absolutely love that stuff, the kind of tat I had as a kid in lieu of expensive Lego and Power Rangers and Scalextric, the kind of toys you'd find in a pound shop where Batmaster and Spider-Chap's faces look like they've had a stroke and for some reason they come with a little plastic machine gun.

The motivation to exercise properly and stay off junk food until I'm in better shape.

The junk food isn't as much of a worry as I can stop when I feel like it, but an office job coupled with spending most of my leisure time at this computer (barring a short daily dog walk) isn't particularly healthy. I'd happily play badminton or tennis regularly but don't have anyone to play with and don't think there are any local clubs I could go along to.

See I don't care much for action figures and the likes ..but my god ...Once I'm in a lego shop I'm about 6..one time I went in one I started building something on the little free play sections they have out - no shame

I've actually bought a few of the lego technic sets over the last few years - even buying 5-6 has put me over a grand - makes me think how bad my parents had it at xmas time

^ Right?? It actually wasn't too bad though. We both want to be able to do regular friend stuff (e.g. go to his for parties) as well as the other stuff, so it's a move towards that. Think we'll be playing it by ear a bit for the mo though haha.

36% isn't too bad I'm glad it went well. It's a good step to get out of the way.

A shorter but equally awkward alternative is when their spouse is unexpectedly there the first time you meet them because they "just wanted to say hello" and it feels exactly like when a friend's parent would drop them off at your house to play.
