Wondering how I can justify buying myself another 32" screen when I only have about 8" available desk space

I can't work miracles with this tape measure

Trying to rid the smell of bin from the klounge while getting my head around an experimental design I'm definitely making more complex than necessary (to those in the know, 8 conditions isn't too many, right???).

Just finished work. Going to cut my hair, go on my rowing machine, shower and hit the sack.

Was trying to give Who Killed baby Gregory on netflix a go but the narrator is annoying and with the semi muted french dialogue underneath I'm finding it hard to get into. Might try again some when.

Guess I'll give The Irishman a go instead.

Sitting in the living area of the new place my parents are renting for a little while until they find a house in the area. I may want to stay here forever:

(Nope, I don't think I deserve the view either.)

Trying to work out whether things like 'I feel lucky to spend time with you' and 'I'm worried you're going to get bored of me' are just words with little more than instrumental purpose.

Does not compute with questionable self-esteem.

^ Never have I wanted to take a lady shopping more before. Do not approach but give me room to sashay is my everyday look.

I'm currently raging at Ideal Home because these paper tree decorations are anything but f**cling simple to make.

I just spent a good while browsing vegan chocolate treat recipes and have decided on Vegan Sweet Potato Brownies since I have most of the ingredients.

I also made some rice milk, which is not good.

Now I'm going on my rowing machine, then shower and sleep (well that was sad, only managed 4k, was coughing up mucus the whole time. Must be ill).

About to start my overtime shift working from home

I mean I've already done 10hrs at work today but...why not do a few more tonight (this is what happens when you have literally no life - at least I'm on overtime rate)

urh, careful with that, it sounds like you work quite enough already.

I'm drinking a latte and reading a good book.

^ I find myself in a bit of a situation where no one else can do my job who currently works for us and theres not really any available time for me to get someone in to help me/train them.

We are a manufacturing company of quite bespoke things so theres literally no one who could just "step in" without a good few weeks/months learning what/how we build stuff.

Kinda hoped it would have died down nearer xmas, it seems to be getting worse. I did another 4hrs last night and I'm not making any bloody headway

I've made it clear I will not be doing anything over the weekend...so I think now I'm about to have a damn nap

I'm still sick with a winter bug, so have spent the day vegging out watching shitty horror films.

Just half way through one when I get urge to visit my grumpy cat. I leave the living room and close the door behind me, I see her lurking at the bottom of the hall by the back bedroom where there's a light on, so go to switch the hall lights on. As I do, the light-fitting above my head lets out an almighty pop and all the lights in the flat trip leaving me in pitch black darkness.

If I didn't already know that there's a problem with that particular light, I think I may have shit myself inside out

Think about going out on the bike, as it looks bright outside. However outside is cold and my bed is warm.

I hope that you have recovered from your winter bug and that your grumpy cat is starting to feel a bit less grumpy

I should try to put the Christmas tree and decorations up today although I'm the only one who wants to at least go through the motions of making the place look Christmassy plus the whole house needs cleaning from head to toe...
but instead, right now, I'm still in bed hibernating under the duvet and wishing I could stay there until the Spring

^ Yes the tree is up

The silver jewellery making workshop sounds fantastic and the kind of thing that would be right up my street, if it wasn't for the wretched SA.

You should certainly give this a go and the fact that your son is also very interested means that you wouldn't have to go alone.

Just went and picked up my brother's gift, as he's visiting tomorrow, put clothes washing on again (I'm sure mum wears 2-3 outfits per day), emptied and filled the dish washer, now time to make the yule log.
