Default leading light...leading fright

hi guys,
went to the leading light festival, was so nervous. I got there and saw loads of people with name badges sitting talking about themselves in groups and I freaaked out. Had a panic attack in the loo and left. I supposed at least I tried, hope some of you went and managed to stay. To me it just wasnt an approprite set up for people with SA.

Hey ho

Definitely. I'm sure there are many that wouldn't have felt able to even get that far

When I first heard about it, I read the blurb and had a feeling that I wouldn't like that kind of environment, so I didn't go. Anyone else who went?

Well done for going! Maybe it was just a bit too much of a big step for you - don't let it knock your confidence!

Hi Louise marie,

I think you should be proud of doing what you did and getting to the event in the first place..I it must have been really dissaponting for you but try to work out what the main things that caused you to panic and work on those things.

One of the things that helped me was learning to breath in a better and helpful way . So if i felt panicky in situations I wouldn't let the panic overwhelm me too much.

maybe going to this event was too much too soon for you. Hopefully it wn't discourage you to try to go other events in the future.

Take care and keep posting :
