Default Leading Light in April

Anyone else going to this? Or thinking about going? It may be worth checking out - there is a website: http://www.leadinglight.org.uk/

Just thought it was worth mentioning in case anyone was interested...

Cheers Louise , I might try and make it down, I've never considered anything like this before, seeing as there will be lots of people makes me feel better as I can blend in.

That actually sounds perfectly ideal.

Particularly: "there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I want to bring back the fun in social situations for you all." got me thinking about going.

It's most probable that I won't attend. Not because i'm too anxious but because I'm too lazy.

I'd be far to self conscious to do any kind of exercise or technique that was being taught whilst surrounded by other people... so there'd really be no point in it for me.

i know what you mean - I don't really know what to expect, so I'm just gonna go and see what it's like. I am also going to take the train there and the tube and all that by myself, which I have never done before. To navigate London on me own, that's a goal for me. If i'm going anywhere other than to work or my usual haunts around Manc, I rely on others for travel. so, that alone will be a big deal for me.

Heh, I know - but I think it's more than just, say, "laughing" classes or some such, I think.....*that* I will NOT do, I simply refuse...

Ah, well, I have a problem with that, and procrastination as well. So, I have decided to light a fire under my ass and go. I've already got my tix.

This actually sounds like something really good to aim for. Not sure how i would get there though this would be the biggest problem for me. Not unless i get some practise using public transport leading up to it hmm.

Hi ,

I went to A Leadinglight event a few months ago and i would definitely recommend it. I went on my own but i met up with people at the event.

I learned about various therapies and met some very friendly and interesting people.

If you can get to this event please go !!!

It was an enjoyable day for me .

Looks interesting. It's been years since I've been to London (I lived there in the early 90s), so I might use the opportunity to tick a few things off my list of stuff I am determined to do this year for the first time ever:

Book a hotel.
Eat in a restaurant by myself.

Thanks for that synopsis J-Dog - I think it's worth checking out to see what is available - I am desperate to find a good therapist near me, so hopefully will get a good steer on that, and some CBT as well.
