I had a bad dream about the hairdressers last night and I'm a bit nervous even though I opt to have the silent service where they don't talk to me. I had a dream that the hairdresser was ill so someone more senior did it and they told me how to have my hair and dyed it and cut it really short on one side and then just disappeared and never came back to me and I was stuck with one side longhair and the other really short, but not in a good way. And I had to stand for the whole appointment and she cut my hair when it was dry.

I've got to send a CD back to Amazon, they sent me the wrong CD for the second time. Then later it's off to my sister's because we're cleaning the house of one of her colleagues whose disabled daughter is dying of a brain tumor.

Finish building a little app to unzip, clean and organise data from my iphone health export because I'm too lazy to manually do it every time.

Finish a model and animation spline for an npc.

Do some chores/housework (still working out how to automate those).

Build a Lego t-rex for my niece (most important goal for today)!

Sitting waiting for the car recovery guy to swing by my place this morning to pick up car keys so he can go and recover my car. This really has turned into a bloody saga.
I don't know what time though which I hate.

Work in the afternoon. Which I'm also not especially looking forward.

My plans today are to do as little at work as possible followed by my first dentist appointment since 2001.

Red Engine oil light on.

Its a saga of slightly unreliable trades people though. AA reckoned just needed a oil and filter change. So booked a mobile mechanic who said he would come 'over the weekend' when I contacted him to confirm when exactly he was like oh I forgot! So we arranged last Tuesday, didn't show up. I then contacted someone else and he did come out did the oil change. I drove it and red engine oil light came back on. I had a cat in my car so I stopped and rang mechanic and he as like it's 100% safe drive blah blah, so took the cat to destination and drove the car home with the light flashing. It starts after a few miles of driving. I drove it stupidly a few miles after this as the bus service was cancelled and I had to get to a dog sit. I've since been advised by people don't drive it! So it's in a free car park in the next village. Hoping recovery guy turns up to take it from there to the garage.

The 1st mobile mechanic that didn't turn up last week - turned up randomly yesterday

^might be a daft question but have you checked the oil level on the dip stick?

Yeah. Was checked by AA aswell. Then had an oil and filter change on his recommendation. When the light came back on after that the first thing I checked was again the dip stick. It was well over the max not under - though to be fair the engine was still hot.

^hopefully it's just a duff sensor but sounds sensible to not drive it until its resolved. Could be something more serious just not worth the risk as replacement engines aren't cheap.

^^ We had that years ago with a car, plenty oil, red light on, turned out the oil pump had gone! Fortunately it was still under warranty.
