Shame but you did your best and that's all that anyone can ask. Sometimes things just don't work out. C'est la vie.

^I'm procrastinating too. Why not try the old cliche of imagining her naked, your nvq woman that is, not your auntie, although i've probably put that thought in your head now. Sorry! Now i'm thinking about my auntie naked *goes off to slam head in fridge door*

I have a shit tonne of stuff to do by tomorrow yet here i sit watching Batman: Under the Red Hood.
I feel discouraged, too, about some bad feedback. I hate that the good feedback encourages me and the bad discourages me. I don't like having my self esteem boosted or deflated by others' opinions, i want to just be the same for both ie take it on board and consider it, nothing more.

^ I'd gladly trade you your images for mine, my auntie is a dead-ringer for Pat off Eastenders--not even a fridge door slammed on my head could get rid of that image!

Sweet feck all is a good reward, i can't wait until i can do the same tomorrow evening. I'm almost at the finishing line, can't get complacent now!

Almost there.

Watching Miranda (the TV show, not my next-door neighbour or anything like that).

I'm not sure whether it's good or not. It's watchable but very silly and quite self-indulgent at times (actually, the show is named after the lead actress and writer so that shouldn't come as a surprise).

drinking a soya latte from costa. I'm opposed to this whole cappuccino, machiatto, frapaccino business - why not instead focus on, y'know, coffee, but this is admittedly quite nice.

Right now planning my xmas tv (yes I am one of those weirdos who circles the tv guide) and yay I should be home from work on xmas eve on time to watch Fantasia! Next I shall cut my new fleece insoles for my boots to shape and trot around in them for a bit, then I'm snuggling in bed and playing FF13 because I'm finally up to the bit I abandoned it at last time.

It's not weird to circle the tv guide at xmas. It's exciting to do it, like making a xmas list really,or circling all the things in the catalogue that you want.
I don't do it anymore though as i don't watch normal telly. I just make a list of films and tv shows i will watch, although i always plan too many. This year i planned to watch Freaks and geeks and every film Danny McBride and Seth Rogen have been in, plus Die Hard, and a Bond film or two, and some only fools and horses. I had a couple of loosely themed trilogies in mind too that i made a list of in one of the thousands of documents on my computer that i now can't find.

That's awesome I wonder if my sharpies would work without obscuring the text

You should be posh like me and use a highlighter pen

EDIT: Just seen the above posts.

By the way - red Sharpies kind of work but they do obscure the text far more than a highlighter.

Just took a teeny weeny internet detox. I'm gonna take breaks of a few hours from the net more regularly now.
I have been online so much recently, literally all day when I'm at home recently. Although the net is good and connects me to others, it compress time and is making me feel I always talk the talk but never walk the talk especially as the only action involved online is starring at a screen and typing.

Tbh there isn't that much in the TV guide at Christmas that gets me excited anymore. There used to be things like Vicar of Dibley or Only Fools and Horse specials, Top Gear specials that I would look forward to watching, but now you've got things like the Strictly Christmas special which certainly don't interest me. I'm looking forward to seeing the Doctor Who regeneration, maybe the Big Fat Quiz of the Year which is always fun and maybe the Great Escape if its on somewhere (it must be on surely?), but other than that not a lot.

Don't forget Zulu! I'm quite looking forward to Doctor Who, I'm not really a fan usually but I'm looking forward to seeing what Peter Capaldi does with the role.

Watching Miranda to cheer myself up and planning a musical marathon - Gypsy, Cabaret, Chicago
Also planning my buses and trains for tomorrow. 2 buses to work then a bus to xmas meal then either 2 trains and a bus home or a taxi depending on how many I have to drink.

The trouble with this thread is that if you say anything other then "typing a new reply into the What are you doing right now? thread on SAUK" then you're a damm liar.

Same, sorry but I simply did not like Matt Smith's doctor, but with Capaldi being a lot older, I'm interested to see what he's going to be like and plus I certainly didn't see him being the doctor considering how famous he is for his role as Malcolm Tucker.

Tbh the main trouble for me with this thread and others like it, is that I often don't know which thread to put things in and people post things in one thread, that could have gone in another thread. There's a 'what are you listening to' thread, but then of course what you're listening to is also what you're doing right now, so people put what they're listening to in this thread sometimes. At the same time, what you're thinking about now is also be what you're doing right now. You could be thinking about how you're feeling, I see things in the 'Big things that annoy you' thread that probably should be in the 'Small things that annoy you' thread and vice versa and then people could post a music video in the 'Post a Youtube video' thread, even though we've got a 'Post a music video thread', its so confusing

Alright, I'm not actually annoyed about this, of course people are free to post wherever they want, but it still amuses me

It's good to have interchangeable/flexible threads because it can give each post more viewing time. I've often sought out another thread to put my post in because someone may have put something of a more serious nature elsewhere.

.. Does that make sense??
