^ That's a nice ingredient.

The last thing I bought was The 3 Body Problem trilogy of novels.

Osram Night Breaker 200 headlight bulbs. My headlights were about as much use as a couple of candles. Had Night Breakers in my previous car and they were a good improvement. Only downside is they have a shorter life, but I'd rather be able to see where I'm going.

Just driven round the block to test my headlights out. They are waaaay better!

Was worth skinning my knuckles trying to get into the tiny space between the strut towers and back of the headlights. You're really meant to remove the front bumper and take the headlights out just to get to the bulbs, but screw that for a lark!

Some gorgeous sunflower bed sheets, but they have a hole in one of the pillows! I've just washed them and put them on the line and as I was folding them when I noticed it!

I'm not sure what to do as I bought them online. I guess I email a picture?

My headlights are pretty woeful and I feel for safety reasons I should look into replacements. It hadn't actually occurred to me that this is something people might upgrade. Anything I should consider before looking into getting a set of these?(2019 Ford Focus)

They are a straight swap. Just make sure you get the right fitting, H4, H7 etc. Remember not to touch the quartz glass with your fingers as the skin oil will cause the glass to fail when hot. If you accidentally touch it, wipe the glass with methylated spirit or similar.

If the clear plastic has gone cloudy on your headlight lenses due to UV it will need restoring or new headlights. You can buy kits to restore the plastic.

Thanks. Looks like it's H7. Reckon I'll buy a set then probably cut my hands to shreds swapping them out lol

I cut my hands too. The space to get into the back of the lights on my Peugeot 107 is tiny but I didn't want to take the whole front bumper off.

Looks like you need to remove the headlights on a 2019 Focus but it's a damn sight easier than on my car, no bumper removal.

My car now has the LED headlights, and my new one is Headlight & Main Beam in LED.

Thanks for the info, I've just amazon'd a set of nightbreaker lasers; I was a bit spooked as to the lifespan on the 200s. I've only had this car a couple of months so getting used to it as in, the lights are blue tint so I was thinking maybe they're xenons. However the osram site and others tell me it's halogens so I'm guessing the stock bulbs were some sort of blue tint halogen. But they seem seriously dim and in need of upgrade. It's an ex rental car (58k on the clock) so I'm guessing there's a good chance the lights have been heavily used.

^ I'd be interested to know what the Laser ones are like when you get them in. Only problem is that's it's the lighter nights now, so less opportunity to test them.

Will you just be doing the dipped beam or the high beam as well? Mine are H4 ones, so they are combined in one bulb, meaning I didn't have to buy four bulbs. I did all four in my previous car, though.

I don't own a car but use to help with data entry in a car parts online store. It was 2014 and xenon lamps were ridiculously much ,ore exspensive than Halogen Lamps.

I'm wondering if modern LED car headlights are cheaper than xenon and how do they compare?

Some of the LED ones are hideously expensive because if they fail you often have to buy a whole new headlamp unit.

Very good point Lee, thanks. But so I'm now a bit confused My dipped lights are H7 55w. My main beam is apparently H1 55w. I thought main beam bulb was a higher wattage but it looks like that's not the case. Maybe main beam is the same wattage and it all comes down to the lens (focussed higher) than the bulb power?

Anyway, I'll get that H1 ordered up as well as you're right, it makes sense to change them at the same time. Gotta love the Amazon returns policy..

Sometimes they are higher wattage and sometimes it's purely down to how they are focussed as you rightly say
