Thank you. It did go well  There was some awkwardness when I would have to keep referrring to my notes to remember what I had to say. Also at one point I thought I was going to freak out and panic. I imagined myself bursting into tears and running from the room. Instead I took a breath and a long errrrrrrmmm to break the silence and then carried on. I got a lot of praise about my running of the shop and I was quite overwhelmed by it, perhaps because I felt stressed from the meeting but in general I feel like I fail at everything I do. I got a little tearful and quickly made a joke and walked away. Hopefully it didn't come across as cold. Now I have to do these every 4 months. It should get easier each time right?

@ hellotiger - it sounds like you did brilliantly at the meeting
I think it’s an incredibly brave thing of you to do. The first and last time I ever gave a speech infront of anyone was as a 14 year old during an English lesson where my mouth dried up so badly as I stood infront of the class that I burst into tears and was told to return to my desk  Anyway, hats off to you, hellotiger, and I’m sure it will become much easier with practice

i was at a zoo once and they had new tigers coming in that had to be quarantined before being allowed to mix with the tigers they already had. because of this there was one in a temporary enclosure...i was on one side of a steel barred door, there was a 5 foot gap, and then this tiger was on the other side of another barred door. but i could look down and it was literally standing on the same floor as me, albeit behind a couple of doors. ive never felt anything like the feeling i got watching this huge animal just pace back and forth with huge dense muscles flickering in its shoulders, so light on its feet, staring through the bars at me. being as literal as possible i swear i felt something millions of years old switch on in my head, saying "get away, just be anywhere but here, do this now". it had an almost godlike presence, i was just like "ok m8 going now bye" -_-
