"Shall I have a shower or just not bother?"

"I'm hungry but I can't be arsed to think what I want to eat, so I'll just sit here until hunger pangs force me to the kitchen''.

''Why am I so lazy? But is laziness always a bad thing?''

''I wish this forum moved faster''.

''Has ASOS still got those trousers in my size in stock''.

''My hair needs cutting but do I want to spend money on it?''.

All the usual deep, profound stuff.

Whyy, do some people find socialising so easy?? My brother is meeting up with a girl tonight who he has never met! He started talking to her on Monday, and now they are going for drinks and she is staying over at my parent's house tonight (my parent's are away).

He's 20.....I'm 30 and I have never been in a relationship!!!

Wondering what's happened to my cousin. Her sister says she very unwell in hospital. I Know she's pretty vulnerable and unstable in life , had her baby taken off her.

I don't get how the normal folk work.

When I attempted "online dating" (and I use the term attempt - very very loosely) Someone actually started chatting to me, which I sort of responded to for 2-3 months before she obviously..moved on. I was still noway near capable of meeting her.

Now doing all that in the space of 1 week blows my mind!

Got ID'd buying vodka with my shopping today, first time it's happened in ages. They called the manager to see if they accepted my card, who didn't think they did, and had to go off and call someone about it, while the queue lengthened and I stared awkwardly at my shoes like a naughty boy caught with his hand in the biscuit tin. Turns out that, yes, they do accept it.

I'm going to make a point of only going to checkouts with young people at the till, if I can help it. They hardly ever ask, and when they do it's in a sort of apologetic 'Soz, but I have to' way.

Weather becomes "normal" again and suddenly I feel much better, hmm. Shame it's gonna be near 30C again at the end of the week, might just walk around with a danger sign to warn everyone off.

What a horrible start to the holiday!

I was bitten twice on the leg by a mosquito/s (evil lil critters) and although a large expanse of my leg was red and swollen I expected it to quickly clear up. Wrong. I came down with a high fever and spent Monday night throwing up into a bucket. When my husband phoned the GP she insisted that I go straight to A&E. I ended up spending most of yesterday in Hospital with needles in my hand and hitched up to a drip. When the Doctor said I’d have to stay in overnight I burst into tears. The thought of being alone in Hospital, miles from home was too much for an SA sufferer to cope with. Anyhow, the lovely Doctor took pity and said I could leave after I’d had some intravenous antibiotics and to promise to return at 9am today. I was’nt sick last night, thank god, and the swelling has gone down but I feel like I’ve done a few rounds in the ring with Mike Tyson. Apparently Cellulitis is quite common and it can even prove fatal if not quickly treated. Fingers crossed, I’m on the mend and I will eventually be returning home alive with both legs intact. I do feel guilty about messing up everyones holiday though

@ Biscuits - thanks
I remember you saying in the past about being bitten by a mosquito and reacting badly to it Nasty lil bleeders they are! I’ve just been for a check up this morning and am relieved to say I’m on the mend

@ Rocket Spud - We are ‘holidaying’ up North at my husbands parents, so nowhere very exotic I actually got bitten down South while watering the plants in my garden and it went from bad to worse on Sunday night. Next time I venture into the garden I shall shroud myself in one those bee keeper suits!

Ha, i've not been on holiday for donks so anywhere's exotic to me! Do you get along with his parents well then? Or is it 'about time' for a visit?

Isn't there a mozzie season? Just next time be extra cautious around that time of year - perhaps a pair of trousers and spray your arms with repellant - a beekeepers suit if all else fails!

Yes, his parents are absolutely lovely but it was also a case of ***8216;it***8217;s about time***8217; for a visit

It always seems like mozzie season to me accept perhaps in the middle of Winter when I wouldn't be mootching around in the garden during the evening dressed in just shorts and a t-shirt. I shall spray my self from head to foot with repellent next time - they won***8217;t know what***8217;s hit them

Every cloud has a silver lining I guess, because since being poorly with the Cellulitis my appetite has taken a bit of a nose dive. Not even chocolate can tempt me at the moment

What a funny day. Went to counselling 1st thing. I do like her but God it's strange having counselling with someone that doesn't know me again.
Got a phone call from my dentist asking me to come in as he wanted to do a fitting (nope I've never heard of such a thing either!) I was like err OK. Was supposed to get my (yearly ) haircut this afternoon but by some stroke of luck the hairdresser was sick and I got given an earlier appointment with someone else so ended up being able fit the dentist in after all. All of which meant I spent nearly the whole day in Worthing. Did a fair old bit of ppl watching, wandered through the fair and sat on the pier. Was good to be out of the house.
