How are you feeling tonight?

@ Kooky Monster, Dougella, Raks, Azalea, Amatus, Mo, and Choir girl

Thank you for your very kind messages

Feeling emotionally knackered after a bit of a rollercoaster of a week.

Relationships of all kinds are an absolute minefield to navigate, that's for sure, and I'm in no doubt that another mine will blow up in my face at some point

^^ That's great news Consolida, having honest conversations about how you're both feeling will probably help a lot in the long run. I hope things continue to go well

@skittles Glad you're still here skittles

@consolida That sounds really promising, hopefully it can built upon

I'm up thanks to a phonecall from my GPs to do a medication review that wasn't due 'til November. Goodness knows what sense they got was so groggy . Also got asked about how a med that was prescribed last November was going....when no-one ever told me that had been prescribed nor have I ever seen any let alone taken them. So, good to know they're as on top of things as always lol
Have to go eat now to take something else, but feel really sick. Not sure if it's because I got woken up with a jump

^ Thanks lovely, ugh I dunno, crying always really annoys me. Well no, feeling sad or wound up or frustrated or w/e enough in the first place to make me cry annoys me. I guess I don't like the feeling of being out of control of even my feelings, especially when they make no sense (even to me!).

I'll be ok, I'm just unused to being this all over the place emotionally- no matter how mental I've gone in the past mood swings (or at least rapid ones) have never been a thing really. Fook knows lately

EDIT: *passes Amatus some crisps*

Zoomed out. Had a 1 hour meeting with some of my team abt today's forum (admittedly we did get sidetracked talking about pringles and cattle prods amongst other things!), then team check in for 40 mins, then 1 hour drop in and and then a 1 hour service users forum, plus 20 min debrief after.

I don't know why zoom is more exhausting than irl (which for me is bloody exhausting enough!)

^ I've heard a lot of other women have the same experience where they're not believed until it's actually confirmed by surgery. Good that you got it over with and hope you recover soon

Had my first non assessment appointment with ATS service. Was ok. Same old stuff surrounding SA that i've heard a million times before though her approach was better - none of the CBT thinking diaries/logs which I loathe to death. Will see how it goes, will be seeing her colleague K aswell who is a trainee regrading behavioural activation? and depression/low mood etc.. Will see how it goes. The idea is to unpick whats going on.

Was at animal sanctuary though so asked the owner if i could use her office for the appointment (online on my phone), lol. Went out to lunch with 2 of the girls to a pub in the village, was really nice. So all in all a good day.

@ Amatus - So glad the surgery went well and to everyone who didn't believe you!

@ Skittles - Feel better soon

@ Mo - It's good to hear that you had a good day
It's fantastic how far you have come in the last year or two and you should feel jolly proud of all you've achieved. I know it's taken you a lot of hard work and perseverance to get this far

It feels like such a drag and a downer when you are near others. I go out of the house, walk down the road a within a few seconds a car is coming along the road, heading in my direction and I hate it. It's such a drag to have people homing in on you, or in your face or up your bum all the time.

Consolida, perhaps your half sister decided it's better not to be friends on Facebook as it caused so much miscommunication and difficult feelings before, rather than just not wanting to be friends with you as such. There are probably a lot of complex feelings going on for all of you, it will take time I would think to work through things.

Disappointed in myself and like a little bit of a failure. Me and my girlfriend are taking some tentative steps toward house hunting. She earns more than me and her friends all earn more than both of us so she has some unrealistic expectations on the type of house we can afford. Like, houses that are a good few grand more than the absolute maximum that any bank is likely to lend us. When we first met I’d ‘failed upwards’ into a job that would have put us in a better position but couldn’t hang on to one, been trying to get something better for a long time but it seems that delivery driving for a company that seems to have the lowest barrier to entry of any company I’ve worked for is the best I can do. And that was the position I was in before COVID did it’s thing to the job market.

I've got a work leaving do tonight and my anxiety is through the roof. Worst I've been in a long time, I barely have any appetite and I can't stop thinking about it. I've kind of been in charge of organising it as well. As there are tables of 6 and I reckon I'm about 7th or 8th most popular I'll be conscious of and a bit paranoid due to not being on the fun table too! I think a but of Dutch courage before I go and a lot of self-deprecating sarcasm will have to get me through it.

^^ Aw, it's great news that you and your girlfriend are thinking of buying a house! Don't worry too much about comparing yourself to other people (easier said than done obviously) just look for a nice place that you can comfortably afford. Like you say the jobs market is not good right now and some people who previously had well paying jobs are worrying about how they're going to pay their mortgage now.

^ Good luck with the work do!

To be honest there’s a few places I’ve seen online that we can afford and are nice enough, then she will say yeah but what about this one that’s 20 or 40 grand more and I have to remind her that there’s a hard limit to how much we’re allowed to borrow and even then the top end of that limit is a stretch. She’ll get over it, I just don’t like the fact that she has to because of me.
