God I'm looking forward to Friday.
I was laid off work in November, haven't even had a single interview in the time since and Universal Credit barely covers the rent and I've been left with £50 for groceries for the month.
It's been really poopy but on Friday I'll have a little more money and I'll finally be able to have a planned budget.

Gosh that sounds pretty pathetic but it's something I genuinely am looking forward to

Summer has started in the South. It's 3-4 months till it gets HOT.

Dunno what part of South you're in but it must be more south than my South!

yeah it's cold again now. Yesterday people were discarding their coats, and I was sweating in the car. Guess it'll be very soon the end of the cold chills.

Seriously though, we're going to Dunkirk. You hop on the ferry (drive) at the crack of dawn and then you're in France. Then you come back in the evening. It's £13 per person for a return. Then you do what you like and then get the ferry back in the evening.

^ This sounds fun. How is the ferry so cheap?? It costs like £50 to go to the Isle of Wight from Southampton as just a foot passenger last time I checked.

^ that's because visiting The Isle of Whyte is a middle class pursuit.

It's an offer at the moment. Presumably they're getting loads of holiday people as it's the Easter holidays and they're trying to fill the spaces up with day trippers.

It's £39 here too - for up to four people, not £39 each.

^ Ah from Dover to Calais, the reverse immigration method.

The return journey: From Calais to Dover via Rwanda.

Tho' the shopping trolley full of crisps should ease the pain

The long trip to Rwanda should be that bit more bearable with some monster munch by your side

^^^ Trust me, going to the Isle of Wight is no middle-class pursuit. It's more a trip you take if you want an idea of what purgatory might look and smell like. Plus balsamic vinegar hasn't even made it over there yet.

You can get a hovercraft over there from Portsmouth and that's much more reasonable and quite exciting.
