First time poster, long time sufferer says hi
Hi, I'm Ripley. I'm in my early thirties, I live somewhere in the demonic concrete maze known as London, and I'm a recovering agoraphobe with serious, lifelong social anxiety. Those are the basic facts.
I'm not entirely sure why I'm here, except that I've been dealing with this for many years now and isolation hasn't improved anything. So I'm stepping out of my comfort zone a little and trying not to form any expectations, (they're often unhelpful) good or bad. Just looking for advice and some kind of community I guess. Here to learn. I hope this all makes sense and I'm not coming across as a bigger idiot than I am. So, hello SAUK. |

Top bombing, Rippers, Let’s hope the upcoming Netflix series starring Andrew Scott can do the material justice, although it will surely struggle to match the excellent film adaptation.

I've enjoyed all the Ripliad adaptations I've seen so far - Plein Soleil, The Talented Mr Ripley, and Ripley's Game. Still need to see The American Friend, and maybe Ripley Under Ground, though it doesn't have a good reputation. |

Welcome! It does help to be with people who are in the same situation, even if that is only virtually. And there are physical meet-ups arranged here too. I hope you find the forum supportive and encouraging.

Re: First time poster, long time sufferer says hi
Hi Ripley, finding myself in a somewhat similar situation and finding the answer is proving elusive, it's like I know what I should do but feel locked into this basket case of an uncompromising mindset and things just don't get done. Like you I'm here to make the necessary changes and get my life back. I've had enough of feeling this way. I hope that coming here is the catalyst for positive change you need in your life.
