Re: Carry On films
Carry On Camping is the only Carry On film I've seen. I remember being struck by how dated it was, not just by modern standards but even by the standards of 1969 when it came out.

Re: Carry On films
I always liked Carry On Up the Darkside
That cast in full: Darth Vader - Kenneth Williams Luke Skywalker - Jim Dale Han Solo - Sid James Princess Leia - Joan Simms Chewbacca - Bernard Bresslaw C3PO - Charles Hawtrey Obi-Wan Kenobi - Leslie Philips R2D2 - oh I don't know. It could be anybody. That little bald bloke that Benny Hill always used to slap on the head perhaps? |

Re: Carry On films
my dad has every single "carry on" film on VHS and then when DVD was invented he got them all on VHS again to try and wind up the dvd makers and failed miserably.
he also thought it was a great idea to buy a betamax!! |

Re: Carry On films
The best Carry On movies were made in the mid to late 60s, before they became increasingly smutty in a seaside postcard type of way that doesn't work for me. The standard of the Carry On films went downhill very badly in the 70s, but this doesn't detract from how good the very best Carry On movies were. My own favourites are Carry On Cleo (probably the best), Carry On Screaming, Carry On Cowboy and Carry On Doctor, classics all.

But in reply to the original question, I'm not sure what my favourite Carry On clip would be but Carry On Camping is definitely my favourite of the films. It would probably be a scene with either Kenneth Williams or Charles Hawtrey in it though. |
