Got a job interview where I have therapy. Would you take it?
I've been offered a job interview. It's in an community mental health centre where they have pychiatrists, psychologists, mental health nurses, etc.
This is where I will be going to have my therapy sessions. I didn't know at the time of applying. If i get the job my psychologist will be seeing me as a patient, and on a daily basis on a professional level as a colleague. Would you work in a health centre where your therapy sessions will be held? Do you think it's not very appropriate? They want me to come in on thursday for the interview. They're not aware I'm a patient. |

All I do know is that I once had CBT at an organisation and was told that I could also work as a counsellor for them but not at that particular branch. Organisation? Yes. Branch? No. Personally, I think I'd call them and ask them to clarify what their policy is on this kind of thing. |

I'm actually not sure if it would be your choice as I imagine they wouldn't be okay with it. If that's the case, it would be a shame to miss out on a job. Is there no way you can go for an interview and if you're successful, transfer your therapy elsewhere?
