Hi I'm James and I'm 23.

I've been having trouble with SA for as long as I can remember in one way or another, in varying degrees. The last few years have been pretty bad though- i spoke to a total of 5 people in my 3 years at uni and have just completely isolated myself. I even feel shy online which is silly, so thought I'd put myself out there a bit and try get talking to people in the same position as me.
The main things I struggle with are: queing/paying in shops, walking past groups of people, answering the door + phone, going out (pubs/gigs etc), going to unfamiliar areas of the office at work and well, just everything really! There are very few areas of my life not affected, though I find it much easier to do things after work, i think because I'm already in the swing of it.
Currently taking mirtazipine (for about 2 months) which is meant to help my anxiety but really ive only noticed a difference in how depressed I feel.
So yeah, this is me! Looking forward to finally get talking.

Hey James!

Sounds like your uni experience was fairly similar to mine, and likewise I used to find it quite difficult talking to others online. Hope you find the forums of some help.
