Why hasn't Godless been recommended yet?

Two episodes in and it's pretty darn good

Well, i finished Godless and i gotta say it was quite disappointing really. After a good start it just kinda flatlined. The 'big showdown' at the end was annoyingly unrealistic too, which was a shame because i was hanging onto that.

Yeah, so i retract this as a recommendation

Jessica Jones, the second series seems really good so far.

Netflix must be raking it in now, every time i look there's some new series been added, majority of it looks like a load of bollocks. Will maybe give new series of Jessica Jones a watch tho, quite liked the first one.

^ It didn't really do much for me, but people seem to think it's good. I might just not have been in the right mood for it. It's annoying when I can't tell whether something's a bit crap, or I'm just in one of those moods where I hate everything

^ lol i get that, you genuinely have no idea what to think about something and then you're sat there thinking ''i'll have to watch it again sometime when i'm in a better mood''. When I have done that it's 50/50. Sometimes I've really enjoyed a film and been glad I went back to it. Other times less so

I enjoyed it but there were definitely a few moments where I was questioning my judgment and there was some shoddy cgi in places right?

^ There definitely was. A lot of the time it was really obvious they were in front of a green screen, like when you get real live actors in video game cutscenes. And the bit near the end made me think of CGI from the 90s. Like, Terminator 2 and Contact and that.

Yeah, I tend to blame myself if I don't enjoy something, I think it must be good if everyone else likes it and I'm just incapable of appreciating it. It's probably best to move onto something new than try to force yourself to feel one way or another though.

Do you mean the scene with Jennifer Jason Leigh? I thought that was really poor. Maybe that's what they were aiming for

Detectorists. Anyone who hasn't watched it has to! Genuinely perfect, really funny, charming, sweet, witty and the acting is sublime, you'll slowly become absorbed. One of my favourite shows ever

Ah someone else who loves it!!! It's amazing isn't it? A genuine gem, what did you think of season 3? I hope they do another one I really do, even if the last one ended so beautifully. Russell's metal detecting app... just perfection.

^ It is amazing . I really liked season 3 and I would like it if there was another one, but then it's always better when something stops while it's still good rather than going on too long.

This was a good recommendation. I put it on while building lego because I knew my oh would enjoy it and now I've watched the first season.

Yay! Glad you liked it, hope you enjoy season 2 as well!

^^^ Yeah but it's so exquisite I want more! I know what you mean though, too many shows keep going and dilute the quality of the first seasons. I can think of plenty of those. The American Office became terrible, just really bad, whereas the original was 13 perfect eps.

I didn't like the pseudo-science/psycho babble - it didn't ring true, and it's a big part of the show. I quite liked the scenery though, it looked good, mostly..

Edit: i half-heartedly watched three eps
