I've found I can't access from some of the VPN servers I use, I'm guessing it's just taking a while to update the new address to all the DNS servers.

It's like moving house but not all the phone books have been updated (if we were still using landlines )

Eventually, but I would have expected it to have been sorted by now if it is the problem

^ stale local DNS cache ? From the server move.

Have you tried rebooting your router hellotiger ? Flush the system as it were.
Leave it off for a minute before turning it back on.

I can't access through even more VPN servers now. Is it possible some of the routes that some traffic is taking have router(s) with stale cache on them? I really should know more about this stuff by now

^ As far as I know stale records only tend to be a problem at the end user, ie, a cache in a router in a home. Actual DNS servers tend to be far more clever and proactive in resolving issues, rather than just duplicating another DNS.

Oddity, dont bother learning, its boring as hell, complicated (for me at least) and almost impossible to explain to people so you can never get any credit when you fix things. Everything takes a few days so people think "oh, it came back on its own". The internet is coming to its end of life anyway you would be better off learning postcodes

I noticed there is no start of authority (SOA) for the domain, I am not sure of the effect but a domain should have a master or it will effect propagation, also there is some kind of issue with the reverse lookup (PTR), this is not that likely to effect the website I wouldn't expect mainly just email but its worth having right in case there are any really fussy DNS servers out there.

Would it be any hassle to extend the auto-logout?

There's probably a thing/add-on which can refresh the page for you but i cba to look.

Hello. Could someone delete my penpal thread entitled 'I hope you won't mind me being boring'

It's making me really anxious.

I'd also like a permanent ban please.

Thanks
