Word of the day/Dictionary Corner
Taking the idea from Countdown and the constant need to look up new words whilst studying - I was thinking why not start a new 'game' - Word of the day - what new word did you learn today?

That's a great word - not used very often; like you I had heard of it, but had 'forgotten' its meaning, now to try to use it! |

I like the word bailiwick, it means a bailiff's district or, more metaphorically, a field of expertise.

Nope, not a word I am familiar with anxiouslondoner - sounds like a made up word tbh but I've just googled it and it is a word.
